The great bliss that binds the ordinary channels, energies, and bindus to the central channel, symbolized by the vajra's marks, is the mudra. The definitive meaning is the non-regression of the supreme wisdom that sees the suchness of the Vajra of the Perfection of Wisdom. The ultimate meaning is that the innate, effortless Mahamudra, the unadulterated nature, is the mudra, because they bind all dharmas. Considering this, it is said in the Mahamaya: "Having stolen from all the Buddhas, one engages with the daughter born of the supreme deity." Regarding places, it is also said: "A single tree and a charnel ground, and the home of a mother demon and the night, or in a solitary place or on the edge of a village, meditation is said to be good." Furthermore, glorious Sarahas says: "Having entered a lowly city." And: "Wandering everywhere." And: "How does one sometimes dwell in the midst of a marketplace?" And: "Sometimes entering a charnel ground, one enjoys lamps. With a fearless mind, one sleeps in the place of pretas." Therefore, under a single tree where the great farmer dwells, and in a charnel ground filled with corpses and zombies, and at times such as night, which are terrifying places of mother demons, and in solitary places and on the edge of villages. Furthermore, the twenty-four places spoken of in the Root Tantra of Chakrasamvara, Vajra Dakini, the Source of Vows, Nomenclature, Conduct, etc., and the thirty-two places spoken of in the Two Examinations, and the thirty-five places spoken of in the Explanation of the Fifth Examination of the Sambuta, and the thirty-six places spoken of in the Mahamudra Tilaka, and the forty-eight places spoken of in the Ocean of Dakinis, one should travel and practice in these great places of accomplishment. The definitive meaning is that the dhuti and the great bliss of supreme non-regression alone are the "single tree," the cutting off of the conceptual thoughts of the movement of karmic energy is the "charnel ground," the dharma-arising from the navel and the lotus of wisdom are the "home of the mother demon," and the chakras are the "solitary place" and the "edge of the village." Likewise, the places and elements of the body, such as the crown chakra, and the order of the twenty-four channels, etc., are the great places, and in all these places, blocking the energy and conceptual thoughts, and practicing the supreme non-regressing wisdom, is the definitive meaning. In the Kalachakra it says: Due to the power of the thirty-seven deities of the north...

Externally, there are thirty-seven places, and also the external world of four million kotis, and internally, the Vajra body and other mandalas are all combined into one place and nearby places, field near field, desire near desire, gathering near gathering, houses and nearby houses, cemeteries and close relatives, totaling twelve places. Internally, the twelve major joints and the wheels of the body are all combined, and externally, each of the twelve places is divided into four, so forty-eight places are mentioned. The thirty-seven places and the twelve places are, roughly, the world of the four continents, the small is the small Jambudvipa, the subtle is each place such as Tibet and China, and the extremely subtle is that even one village is fully equipped, and it is taught to be established between the bodies of yogis. When practicing, what should be done if begging for the body or other things occurs? "After giving the gift of the body, practice correctly from the outside, by observing those with and without connection, therefore, do not give the gift." Thus, first, give all the body and possessions with an equal mind to all sentient beings, knowing that no dharma belongs to anyone, and practice without any attachment of the mind of self and mine. At that time, even if begging for the body or other things occurs, in order not to arise the discriminating thoughts of giving and not giving, only by exhausting arrogance, the gods of the demon race and others who beg with the intention of provoking cannot be interrupted, and if giving is seen to become a great event of self-benefit and other-benefit, then giving is also done. The Vinaya Sutra says: "Wealth and wife, as well as life, should be given as charity, and if you are freed from these three bonds, you will always practice conduct." The definite meaning is: offering one-sixth of the wealth to the lama, not holding any dharma as mine, not giving with the attachment of the three wheels, and giving without intention, as it is said in the great commentary of Naropa. The actual conduct is: with the conduct of the Vajra skull, these are recitation and meditation, greed and ignorance, as well as fear and anger, completely abandoning the fruits of shame, after abandoning sleep, practice without doubt. And completely liberated from training and empowerment, likewise timidity and shame, things
