To purify the four places of birth, the four stages of generation for purification are taught. Similarly, the generation stages of the four vajras, the three rites, and the six branches are taught, but the actual generation stages are all included in these four, only the vows of the rituals differ. In particular, regarding the generation of the Bhagavatī, it is said in the Abhisamayālaṃkāra Tantra: From the four Mount Merus, in a square palace, from the five Abhisamayas, the four-faced, twelve-armed deity arises, as well as the four ḍākinīs of the heart essence retinue, and for them, each of the four faces is surrounded by six Rabyamtuma goddesses, and the eight gate guardians, that is, surrounded by forty-one deities. In the Abhidhānottara Tantra, it is also said: The three-faced, six-armed Vajravārāhī arises in an instant, and many Vajravārāhī maṇḍalas are taught. Similarly, the six commentators and the scholar Kongka also teach separately from many ritual texts. What the glorious Nāropa teaches in this sādhana is the method of generating from the four vajras. As it is said in the Two Inquiries Tantra: Again, emptiness is bodhicitta, the second places the seed, the third perfects the image, the fourth places the letters. This is in accordance with what was said above. Therefore, first contemplate the great emptiness, the pacification of all elaborations, and from that emptiness, like a bubble arising from illusory water, first contemplate the protective wheels as stable as before, then the yogi, with the gradual wisdom of the mind, contemplates as much as the space realm, or as much as the three thousand great thousand worlds, or as much as Jambudvīpa, or as much as a region, or at least as much as one's own dwelling place together with the surrounding environment, or contemplates as much as includes all that is to be protected, and clearly contemplates meditation etc. as before. Within that, are the eight great charnel grounds that purify the eight aggregates of consciousness. In general, in the Ḍākiṇī Ocean, there are four sets of eight charnel grounds of the body, speech, mind, and samaya wheels. In the Kālacakra, they are also taught by names such as the death of a child. But here, following the explanation of the Condensed Root Commentary of the Cakrasaṃvara by teachers such as Lūhipa, one should contemplate with these names and characteristics: In the east is fierce and violent, in the north is dense and tangled, in the west is roaring and blazing, in the south is terrifying, a charnel ground full of forests.

In that unbearable darkness, the sound of "kili kili" echoes in the wind, in the place of the powerful one (Maheśvara), it is the charnel ground where laughter roars! In those places, merely through the order of circumambulating to the left and circumambulating to the right, Indra, Vaiśravaṇa, Varuṇa, Yama, Agni, Rakshasa, Vāyu, and Maheśvara, the eight guardians of the directions, each abiding on their own mount, with their consorts leaning on their left sides, dwelling at the roots of eight great trees such as śrīśa and aśvattha. Those great trees are abundant with leaves, branches, flowers, and fruits, and in their midst, there are eight great field-protecting deities with vase-like bellies, possessing the youthful faces of the directional guardians, holding a torma in their left hands and making a threatening gesture with their right hands, with half of their bodies exposed. Similarly, there are eight great rivers, and from the center of these rivers, there are eight great nāgas with half of their bodies emerging, and in the sky above, there are eight great clouds that make sounds, filled with water, oily and emitting light, thundering and raining. Eight great mountains of accomplishment, filled with many caves, and on top of these mountains, there are eight great stupas. The eight fundamental dharmas of the completion stage, such as tummo. From each of these dharmas, there are eight yogis who have attained mahāmudrā. And the yogis who have attained the eight common siddhis. There are piles of corpses, both burnt and unburnt, with scattered limbs, burnt and unburnt, bones, skulls, and hair scattered everywhere. Zombies, flesh-eaters, rakshasas, vultures, jackals, and groups of snakes, and filled with kamkala, etc. Countless assemblies of yogis and yoginis playing with vajra songs and dances and the wheel of union. In short, all the dharmas of samsara, which are of the nature of impermanence, suffering, and impurity, are without self and without what belongs to self, unpolluted by conceptual thought, the vajra luminosity, the very nature of great bliss-emptiness wisdom, primordially pure and of equal taste, should be meditated upon. The classification of these, and how to purify them externally and internally, etc., are explained in detail in the Ra la tantra, the "Ornament of the Charnel Ground," and in Avadhūtīpa's "Ear of Whispered Instructions," and in the three sections of the Bodhisattva's commentary, but I fear the length of the text. This is that.
