If it is said that even if the body and speech involuntarily experience the intrusion of five hundred wrong views, but as long as the mind does not accept it, it is considered innocent, then what more to say if it is held by the wisdom of skillful means like the illusion of Vajrayana? Because it is also repeatedly said in the scriptures that the power of mantras is inconceivable. However, this statement is very secret and must be kept secret, because if those who have failed to keep the vows of the Hearers' Vehicle, but act recklessly in the Secret Mantra, hear it, it will be like feeding milk to a poisonous snake. Therefore, the way to be liberated from the vows of the Hearers' Vehicle is like this. Similarly, receiving empowerment from colored powder mandalas, etc., is not something that must be done, because accomplishments will not arise from the deities of models and paintings, etc. In the Vajra Dakini Tantra, it says: "That selflessness mind yogi, those who focus on the deity, all images are born from the mind, yoga of models, etc., is not born. Self is all Buddhas, all heroes are this." Moreover, this lineage believes that the maturing empowerment, the path of liberation, the vows to be protected, and the fruits to be obtained are mixed together, that is, it has four mixtures, therefore, because it realizes that the wheel of phenomenal existence is the wheel of empowerment, it is liberated from the bondage of session meditation. Sleep, which is defiled by the stain of ignorance and has become a near-affliction, should be abandoned, because the yogi is troubled by great delusion, so he will surely be able to abandon it. In the Secret Accomplishment Dharma, it is also said: "Having abandoned the act of stretching the legs, having abandoned the act of samsara, constantly endowed with diligent mind, one should practice the supreme Vajra mind. Regret and sleep, and drowsiness, etc., should be diligently abandoned. Otherwise, even hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas will not be accomplished." Then, is it not even abandoning the mere term of sleep? It is not so, because sleep that has been blessed as thick luminosity and dream illusory body should not be abandoned, because it is the excellence of yoga. If it is said that what is held by yoga is not sleep, then, although it is not the nature of the sleep of samsara, there is no contradiction in establishing the name of sleep.

Therefore, firstly, it enters in the manner of sleep, because when other beings see it, they only think that one is sleeping and do not know (the reality), and also because it is said, "Sleeping in the clear light." Therefore, there is no contradiction in saying "one must abandon sleep" and "sleep should not be abandoned," because Lord Naropa, considering the latter, said, "Sleep is ignorance, and ignorance is Vairocana (རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད།, Sanskrit: वैरोचन, Roman transliteration: Vairocana, literal Chinese meaning: the Buddha Vairocana). Whatever Vairocana (རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད།, Sanskrit: वैरोचन, Roman transliteration: Vairocana, literal Chinese meaning: the Buddha Vairocana) is determined to be the mind of enlightenment, that should not be completely abandoned." In short, the yogi should analyze everything and enter the path with the realization that the nature of all phenomena, internal and external, indicated by the sound of objects, is the state of Suchness, the pacification of elaboration, and not enter the path with the bondage of dualistic clinging. Then, should one only practice the generation stage and completion stage of mantra? No. "Giving, burning offerings, asceticism surpassed," etc., meaning surpassing the fire offering of burning implements, the offering of deity empowerment, and asceticism such as fasting. These are said for the sake of Brahmins and others who believe that liberation can be achieved through fire, offerings, and asceticism, and for the sake of some beginners to accumulate merit and reduce obscurations, but those cannot completely liberate one. The mantra recited with counting beads and the tip of the tongue, and the samadhi of the generation stage and completion stage that includes the object of meditation and the meditator, are also completely abandoned, because knowing that all collections of sounds and the application of language are naturally accomplished as the great Vajra mantra of Āli (ཨཱ་ལྀ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: आलि, Roman transliteration: āli, literal Chinese meaning: Āli, vowels) and Kāli (ཀཱ་ལི།, Sanskrit Devanagari: कालि, Roman transliteration: kāli, literal Chinese meaning: Kali, consonants), therefore one is liberated from clinging to letters and other numbered syllables as mantra. And, the effort of meditating with what, by whom, where, and how, is like not realizing it is a dream in a dream, and striving to be liberated from the river of dreams, like a bird cannot surpass the sky, and a fish swimming in the sea cannot surpass the water, knowing that all discriminations cannot surpass the Dharmadhatu Suchness, therefore one is liberated from the samadhi of clinging to the three spheres. Similarly, one is completely liberated from vows that strive not to transgress for fear of faults, and from precepts that cling to the characteristics of what should be abandoned and what should be adopted.
