The temperature is moderate, and if one can obtain great heat that can subdue others, it is easy to realize that the continuum is stable. During the practice of the Mother Tantra, if one does not have the ability to overpower others and engages in practice, it is said that one will be ridiculed by people. If one wants to practice, if one wants to achieve, as the word of choice says, it refers to the practice with elaboration that is actually famous for vidyācaryā. It means if one wants to engage in the practice with elaboration. Here, it is impossible not to engage in any of the practices with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration, so it does not refer to the general vidyācaryā, because it is said in the Compendium of Practices: 'Without the practice of asceticism, it is impossible to exhaust the habitual tendencies of afflictions that have no beginning,' as the scriptures say and as it is known in the world. This is what is said. The difference between these three practices is that, like a precious ornament, the purity of the mandala of the selfless mother is surrounded by fifteen companions, which is with elaboration; the purity of the heart essence mandala is surrounded by nine, eight, five, or four, which is without elaboration; and the purity of the main deity is accompanied by only one companion, which is extremely without elaboration. Other ornaments and so on have no difference, and it is said that only the practice with elaboration is divided into three, which is said in the union and so on. In general, merely the vidyācaryā is divided into three, and it does not refer to without elaboration and extremely without elaboration. Therefore, it is said in the Compendium of Practices: 'Therefore, the practice of a bodhisattva arising from desire is of three kinds: with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration. What is the practice with elaboration? For example, the exhalation of the Tathāgata and the exhalation of Vajradhara, as it is said, the flourishing of the Arali of the Tathāgatas, that is with elaboration. What is the practice without elaboration? From the constant pervasiveness, enjoying some due to need, that is without elaboration. What is extremely without elaboration? Completely abandoning all commotion, with the food of meditation and some places, entering into samadhi with the wisdom mudrā.'

Habit is extremely idle. For example, wood burns and turns to ashes. The leaves of the tala tree burn and turn to ashes. The leaves of cotton burn and turn to ashes. Everything turns to ashes, and similarly, through all three actions, the desire to attain the state of Vajradhara arises. So it is said. Among them, the first is the action with elaboration: In the 'Compendium of Actions,' through the teachings of union, by means of the mandala of the assembly, performing the inner fire offering, mainly stimulating through touch, thereby accomplishing the great mudra. Even for this alone, according to the wealth, three types of large, medium, and small are mentioned. This action was performed by King Indrabhuti, the large, medium, and small, and together with his retinue, he attained enlightenment. This is acting like a king, residing in the mandala palace. For this, in the latter part of the 'Collected Tantras,' first, arrogance is cut off by the ascetic behavior like a lion, and then one can enter any of the three elaborate actions. But in the 'Compendium of Actions,' only the three elaborate actions are mentioned. Therefore, at this time, with the attire of Heruka, wandering, sitting, etc., are uncertain, acting with equal taste. That attire is: Fine earrings are worn on the ears, a wheel is held on the crown of the head, two bracelets are worn on the hands, a belt is worn around the waist, and anklets are worn on the feet as well. Armlets are worn at the base of the arms, a rosary of bones is worn around the neck, and the garment is a tiger skin. Also, a crest is made from the hair of a thief, and the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) is placed on it. The attainments of the five Buddhas are worn by the yogi. A crest is made by using a skull of five fingers' width. From the nature of skillful means and wisdom, a belt of hair is wrapped twice around the waist. Ashes are worn for the sake of offering hair, and the yogi wears it. Also, in order to prostrate to the guru, the preceptor, and the desired deity, a wheel is worn. In order not to listen to the slanderous words of the guru Vajra Acharya, earrings are worn on the ears. The recitation of mantras is also an ornament for the neck. Rings are abandoned to avoid killing living beings. Relying on mudras is the belt. It is the mudra of the five Buddhas.
