At the aperture of the Brahma-randhra, amidst the coils of the hair whorl, a half-vajra with a hollow center, its upper tip reaching the apex of the hair whorl, signifies the ultimate meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom. At the hairline of the forehead, above the garland of reclining black vajras, the five Tathagatas arising from the five wisdoms, as a symbol of pacification, are adorned with five white and gleaming dry skulls that resonate with the sound of "Phem (Tibetan: ཕེཾ)," and atop each of them are arranged beautiful crests of various jewels of gods and humans, captivating the splendor of the ornaments of gods, nagas, and others. From the tips of the wheel's spokes hang dense garlands of bones, connecting the dry skulls so they do not fall downward, and from the mouths of the five dry skulls also hang nets of bones and half-nets, reaching about halfway down the forehead. The remaining few strands of hair hang loosely behind, and the silk ribbons flutter beautifully in the wind near the ears. The six seals are the essence of the six perfections and the six realms: the wheel is Akshobhya and meditation, the necklace is Ratnasambhava and generosity, the earrings are Amitabha and patience, the six rings are Amoghasiddhi and discipline, the belt is Amoghasiddhi and diligence, and the ashes are Vajrasattva and the Perfection of Wisdom. Here, since the Blessed Mother herself is the essence of the Perfection of Wisdom, there is no need to seal wisdom with wisdom, so the ashes are abandoned and sealed with the five skillful means. Some say that the five seals are made because of the concern that appearance and emptiness might be defiled by ashes. Although it may seem plausible, it is not the actual reason. The Two Examinations Tantra states, "Ashes are worn for the offering of hair, held by practitioners of yoga." This is because generally, the heretical Brahmins touch the white ashes of human bones with the index fingers of their left and right hands, and then make a cross mark on the upper body, which is the ash. On top of the ash, a cross is made with two layers of hair threads, which is the mark of Brahma, so it is worn in order to wear the Brahma thread, perform offerings, and enter the ranks of offerings.
