Once the mandala is drawn, it should be kept intact, cleaned, and purified, and a sky mandala should be made. Then, Sindhura should be spread evenly. If that is not possible, it should be evenly smeared with hand-offered alcohol, and then covered with silk soaked in Sindhura to make it even. With a golden pen, according to the pattern of the inner mandala, the essence should be written counterclockwise in the place of the mantra string, then it should be absorbed and placed on the red silk. These are the first part of the oral instructions. Cover with red silk. Above it, on the inside of a clean mirror, draw the mandala for controlling the Dakinis with Sihla, alcohol, and saffron, and cover it with a skull cup. On the skull cup, draw the Dharma source lotus with a golden pen on Sindhura, and enshrine your own mantra. The twelfth part says: Place it on the skull cup with the head of the mantra facing yourself. Here, the materials for drawing the mandala for controlling the Dakinis are also used for drawing on the skull cup and red silk, which is done in practice, but it is not clear in the oral instructions. Some people think that a mandala should not be made on red silk, but because it can also serve as a protection for nectar, it is better to keep it. Here, Sindhura mainly refers to the natural red earth that flows from the secret place of the self-arisen pig image in the village of Kavoka on the bank of the Sindh River in the western region of Oddiyana. If it cannot be found, then use artificial red earth made of lead. The sixth scripture says: The substance made of lead. This is mainly what it talks about. If these cannot be found, then use the red earth that flows from the secret place of the self-arisen pig in Tsari, the sacred place of accomplishment in Tibet. In short, all six of these mandalas must be viewed from the same perspective, and the practitioner must face east. For practice that includes self-entry, these six-layered mandalas are essential. If self-entry is not performed, then five layers other than the vase should be stacked. For empowerments, consecrations, and offerings on auspicious occasions, the four things needed are earth, colored powder, vase, skull cup, and Sindhura. The red silk and the mandala in the mirror are not needed, and the skull cup does not need to have a mandala drawn on it beforehand, as it is completed by pouring in the nectar. Having accomplished that, above all of these mandalas

Having erected a red tent, an entrance should be left open in the front, surrounded by five tormas made of various meats, as well as offerings and tsok offerings. In front of the practitioner, from left to right, place hand offerings, a damaru drum that is not upside down, a vajra, and a bell, as a symbol of the cessation of conceptual thoughts, or "Odiyana" abbreviated as "Orgyen," meaning "long-going" or "long-flying," symbolizing the abode of Vajrayogini in western Odiyana. Sit comfortably on a cushion, with the five points of posture, facing the mandala. Here, the damaru, as described in the Sambhuta, is made of vajra śīrṣa (Tibetan, Devanagari: वज्र शीर्ष, Romanized Sanskrit: vajra śīrṣa, literal meaning: vajra head) and red sandalwood, etc., twelve fingers in height and six fingers in width at the mouth, or ten fingers in height and five fingers in width, or nine or eleven fingers in height and half that in width, these are the three types described. Alternatively, it can also be made from a skull. Inside the wood, write the essence mantras of the yidam deities. Cover it with monkey skin, bind it with human hair, and carve the leg bone of an owl into the shape of a flower. From the outside, draw a mandala on the top surface, that is, a lotus, and write the seed syllables of the yidam deities on it, and on the bottom, draw a single lotus, or some say to write the seed syllables of the dharma protectors on the lotus. This refers to a damaru without a net. If wealthy, one can use one with a net, the frame being as before, made of that wood or other material, making two bell-shaped objects about half a finger more in height and as wide as a bean, about two and a half fingers larger than the frame, piercing sixteen holes, and covering each side with monkey skin. On the inner side, draw a lotus on the top, with a flower in the center, and in the center of the vajra, write the seed syllable of the Wheel of Supreme Bliss (Tibetan, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit:, literal meaning:), and around it, write the heart mantra, etc. On the bottom side, draw the source of the arising of phenomena, with the HRIH (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, literal meaning: HRIH) of the mother in the center, and write mantras around it. To avoid confusing the top and bottom, insert the frame into the center, join them together, and wrap vulture tendons or large human tendons from hole to hole, and then pull them out from the holes below, connecting them in a crisscross pattern to form a net of many-eyed patterns. To avoid confusing the top and bottom, draw a vajra in the center of the lotus on the top, and draw a single lotus on the bottom. The binding and fixing are the same as before. Some Indian damarus are covered with bark.
