Regarding the dharmas that are pure in their nature, doubt is the ninth. Thus it is said. Ninth, whoever does not have faith in the pure dharma. As it says in the 'Heart Ornament': Doubt arises towards the pure dharma. As it says in the 'Guhya': One should not have two minds towards the dharma. Thus it is. The reason is, as it says in the 'Key of Empowerment': The path of abandoning the characteristic vehicle, is regarded as the opponent of what is to be abandoned. Likewise, it mainly shows transformation. In this great secret, it is the path of knowing. Because of fully knowing that very essence, that very essence becomes the state of purity. It becomes an opponent of the same kind. The meditation of reversing the secret is not shown to children. Thus, the characteristic vehicle mainly takes abandoning the path and transforming the path as primary, while the unsurpassed mantra mainly takes the path of knowing the nature as primary. At that time, if one does not believe in the way in which the nature is naturally pure, which is taught by the guru through the tantras and instructions, and doubts, thinking that such a thing is impossible, then one will quickly abandon that path without any difficulty, and because abandoning the mantra dharma incurs a very heavy fault. Even if one does not abandon it, that path will not give rise to results, so the purpose of entering mantra will not be accomplished. Furthermore, because one distorts the key points taught during the empowerment, one violates the samaya. The objects are, in the vase empowerment, when all the dharmas collected by the aggregates, elements, and sense fields are shown as the nature of the deity, one thinks, 'If these are deities, then what need is there to practice?' And, 'The deity has body color, hand implements, etc., and is of the nature of light, but these forms, sounds, etc., are merely ordinary, so is it not untrue that these are deities?' And, in the path of secret empowerment, when the samaya substances to be eaten, the white and red substances, the five meats, and the five nectars, etc., are shown as the accomplished nectar of the nature of bestowing immortality, one thinks, 'If these impure things are nectar, then it is easy to see, so what need is there to enter mantra?' etc. In the third empowerment, one experiences the four states arising from the union of sahaja, free from ordinary signs and concepts. That very thing, because it is bound by the key points of the instructions, gives rise to the realization of the four joys and the four kayas of the path. And, when that wisdom of example and meaning is shown as the supreme path for purifying the mind and bindu, one thinks, 'Alas, is this not the way of the extremely desirous tirthikas?' etc. In the path of the fourth empowerment

All phenomena of samsara and nirvana are pure in their very nature. Therefore, all that is designated as the phenomena of conventional samsara, and all that is pure in its very nature, is also naturally unborn, free from truth and falsehood, and designation, as shown by the example of the moon's reflection in water and the twelve kinds of illusions. The Two Examinations Sutra states: "Self-nature is originally unborn. Not true, not false, just like that. All are like the moon in the water. Yoginis with desire should know." If one does not believe such words, one may wonder if this is a view of neither existence nor non-existence. Is it not a nihilistic view to deny the truth? And so on, doubts arise. Similarly, in the vase empowerment, since all phenomena are pure, they are empty of impurity; in the path of secret empowerment, since skillful means and wisdom are primordially inseparable, they are empty of separation; in the third path, since all phenomena are pure in bliss, they are empty of suffering and equanimity; in the fourth path, since the two truths are inseparable like illusion, they are primordially abiding in the emptiness of arising, ceasing, truth, and falsehood. One does not believe in these emptinesses and harbors great doubts. The Great Commentary states: "The ninth is the pure dharma, that is, one who does not believe in the dharma of emptiness." The Black Destroyer Tantra states: "Do not refute the dharma of the village." This means that one should not doubt the pure dharma of the third empowerment's object, but rather distinguish and show it. In short, all the purity of the first three empowerments is the direct object of this transgression. Regarding the fourth empowerment, from the perspective of its difficulty to understand, it is divided into two: conventional self-nature purity and ultimate self-nature purity. The conventional self-nature purity, like illusion, is free from truth and falsehood. The sutras also state that if there is all phenomena and something more excellent than that, it is also shown as an illusion. In the Collected Sutra, the aspect of illusion shown in the sequence of the illusory body is the direct object of this root transgression. The ultimate self-nature purity is established as the object of the eleventh root transgression. Similarly, due to attachment to the tenets of the Realists and the Mind-Only school, etc., in the context of Madhyamaka, the self of phenomena and the person shown in the context of refuting the extremes, even in conventional terms,
