Both have it. The ability to transform poison into nectar exists in the mantra achievers of outsiders and the achievers of flying in the sky, etc. Because there is no partiality towards all of samsara and nirvana, the mere phrase "no partiality," no matter how one thinks about it, cannot be understood without analysis, so those do not become the meaning of the occasion for this behavior. Abiding in this behavior, the activity of maturing and liberating the faculties, thoughts, inclinations, bases, and habitual tendencies of the beings to be tamed, as they are, is the nature of reality. Like an illusory person acting in an illusory army, not clinging to appearances and with pride exhausted, therefore that is the great assembly practice, which is the view of glorious Self-Arisen Foot. It is accomplished by conquering all directions, and the assembly practice is arranged for the benefit of others. So it is said. This is also called the conduct of a Bodhisattva. In the outer commentary of the Compendium Sutra, it says: There are also two kinds of conduct. The conduct of a Bodhisattva, whether it contradicts the world or not, in whatever way it can perfect the benefit of sentient beings, the mantra practitioners can diligently engage in that way. So it is said. Generally, at the end of secret conduct, in order to test whether or not one can perform ascetic practices, one goes to a large market or other noisy places, observes whether one will be harmed by external circumstances, and integrates external circumstances into it, which is called assembly conduct. Following ascetic practices, being unattached, not being angry, not being discouraged, and not being discriminating, possessing these four qualities, one performs in gatherings such as in the sacrificial places of outcastes or evil castes or heretics, or in front of cruel kings, etc. Because those people will engage in refutation, abuse, and beatings, etc., one integrates these into the practice, and if it becomes an aid to meditation, like a great fire spreading to a forest, it is considered accomplished. This is also called assembly conduct. At that time, those two are called small and medium assembly conduct. Even if limitless benefit for others is accomplished, there is no arrogance, and even if one has worked for the benefit of others for millions of years, if not a single person has realized the Dharma, there is no arrogance such as discouragement, this is considered great assembly conduct. Some also consider the conduct of Samantabhadra to be the conquest of all directions.

Regarding the ultimate explanation of Nāgārjuna's conduct, it seems that some consider that after training in the conduct of Samantabhadra in the Pāramitāyāna, there is no need to train in other Bodhisattva conduct. At that time, Nāgārjuna's conduct is divided into four, such as being victorious over food. Although the merits of Nāgārjuna's conduct described here are allowed to be combined with Samantabhadra's conduct, the view of Glorious Self-Arisen is authoritative. In general, it is not certain that one must practice in this order, because the entry of Vajrayāna yogis is immeasurable. Lohipa, Lāvaṇa, and Śāntideva initially entered into a state of utter non-elaboration and performed Nāgārjuna's conduct through that means. The glorious Saraha accomplished through elaborate conduct and great gaṇacakras together. Bīrwapa, after attaining the sixth bhūmi, performed gaṇacakras through asceticism. Ḍombī Heruka, after attaining supreme accomplishment, performed non-elaborate conduct with his consort in the charnel ground to tame beings. Later, he performed gaṇacakras related to asceticism, such as reversing the stūpas of the Śrāvakas and riding a tiger. Lord Nāgārjuna, after attaining accomplishment, gave his head to the youth Endowed with Power, entering into the difficult giving of characteristics. Ḍombī Heruka the Great and Prince Sakara, etc., upon being blessed by the guru and ḍākinīs, instantly accomplished the supreme object of Mahāmudrā, and the contaminated aggregates disappeared, so in worldly terms, there was no need to perform any of those actions, etc., which are limitless, so one should not think of only one aspect. In particular, most of the holy beings of this precious Kagyü lineage initially had no expectation whatsoever for other worldly or nirvāṇic accomplishments, but practiced solely through the innate yoga of Mahāmudrā with utterly non-elaborate conduct. When the realization of non-elaboration became stable, in order to mix appearance and mind into one taste, they would also slightly engage in ascetic conduct that treats all appearances equally, without relying on companions or resources.
