In short, if one sees the images of the union of the father and mother deities, fearing that disrespect might arise, these steps are taken. Because one fears the punishment of breaking vows and in order to transform the lineage through blessings, disrespect will not arise when seeing the images of the father and mother deities. Having matured in this way, the mandala is shown. Because these are explained, trust and faith arise in the lama and the mandala, and this is the maturation to be able to bestow the vase empowerment. To this, the five wisdom empowerments are bestowed, purifying the impurities of the five aggregates, and the five aggregates are recognized as the five families. Through the vows of Vajrasattva, the empowerment of the blessed mantra, and the empowerments of the master, one is temporarily able to become a master, and having understood the outer world and inner beings as the five families, one is freed from ordinary views, and this is the attainment of the vase empowerment. In order to prevent the arising of conceptual thoughts about viewing the body mandala and receiving secret substances from the secret place of the dakini, one is matured to be able to bestow the secret empowerment. To this, the secret empowerment is bestowed, and like a hammer striking an anvil, the three doors are blessed, so that the experience characterized by the wisdom of clarity and emptiness and bliss arises in the lineage, and one is freed from attachment to forms, and this is the attainment of the secret empowerment. Because one cannot be bound by the conceptual thoughts of desire, and because the conceptual thoughts that regard the path and non-path as small, one does not generate conceptual thoughts when accepting the vows of the wisdom mother by the command of the lama, therefore one is matured to be able to bestow the third empowerment. To this, the third empowerment is bestowed, and the eighty natural conceptual thoughts are blessed with bliss, so that one knows that all phenomena are of one taste in the nature of bliss-emptiness and self-awareness, and this is the attainment of the third empowerment. Because one is not afraid to show all phenomena from the perspective of primordial purity, and one will understand, it is called being matured to be able to bestow the fourth empowerment. To this, the fourth empowerment is bestowed, purifying the clinging to self-awareness and bliss-emptiness. Like seeing the vulva of a young girl, one sees the ultimate truth of the nature of all phenomena, thereby cutting the bonds of doubt, and this is the attainment of the fourth empowerment, and one meditates single-mindedly on how one understands the meaning of the empowerment, and this is the path of liberation. Through the door of maturation and liberation, when the supreme reality is truly accomplished, one is permitted or empowered by the master, thereby becoming a *Dharma King*. Therefore, what is called the maturation of the lineage is that the mind becomes stable, that is, in the time before maturation.

They are not swayed by evil intelligence, so they are not attached to samsara and nirvana. They are not attached to body and possessions. They are not afraid of profound Dharma. They have no doubts about the path shown by the Guru, and they have found the seed of wisdom in their minds. Even the worst person, if they see the rituals, objects, food, etc. of the empowerment they have received being used by others or the Guru, they think that this reflects the rituals of that empowerment, so they will not give rise to distrust. If they do not have this, how can they mature? Please think about it fairly. If you say that we do not actually generate (wisdom) in our minds now, but this is in the manner of planting seeds in consciousness, and it will secretly arise in the future, so this is called maturation. Then, how can we place Tantra on the path of manifestation? If that is the case, what is the need for the (number) from one to twenty-five, and the numerical restrictions on actions, etc.? Because even to herds of cattle and livestock, it should be possible to bestow your empowerment. At the time of taking refuge, it is not necessary to generate the thought "I take refuge." At the time of taking vows, it is not necessary to think "This should be done, this should not be done." Similarly, no matter how one's thoughts flow, let them flow freely. The Guru places the objects on the head, and one recites with one's mouth, and this alone is enough to make the other person secretly mature. Therefore, "On the supreme root tip are eight hundred elephants, Never seen before, but now they say they exist." Like this, apart from the numerous livestock, Who would say such amazing things? This reminds me of these words. Furthermore, in northern Shambhala, Manjushri, with his fame, placed four hundred and fifty million Brahma sages in a fabricated mandala and made them mature. This will not become a method of maturation for you, because it is not a sand mandala. If you think that it is not established, because it is a collection of dust. Then, why are "Dharma source" and "seed of barley" etc. not dust? In this way, for you, sand paintings and scroll thangkas become the same thing. If you think so, then the effort to distinguish them is in vain. In general, scroll thangkas are not what you think, that is, sand mandalas painted on cloth. Please refer to the descriptions of how to draw scroll thangkas in the Manjushri Root Tantra, the Detailed Rituals, and the Purification of the Lower Realms Tantra, etc., and then identify them later. Also, regarding material
