The extensive explanation is twofold: the questions of the three Bodhisattvas and the questions of the essence, the Hevajra. The first has two parts: the question and the answer. The first is: Vajragarbha asked: For what reason are you called Vajrasattva? How are you called Mahabodhisattva? For what reason are you called Samayasattva? The Bhagavan spoke to me. Thus he spoke. The Bodhisattva Vajragarbha asked the Bhagavan: For what reason does the Bhagavan call you Vajrasattva? How is it appropriate to call you Mahabodhisattva? For what reason are you called Samayasattva? Please tell me the meaning of these as they are. Thus it is. The second is: The Bhagavan said: It is called indivisible Vajra. The Bodhisattva is one with the three realms. With this wisdom and reason, it is called Vajrasattva. Being filled with the taste of great wisdom, it should be called Mahabodhisattva. Always acting in accordance with the Samaya, it should be called Samayasattva. Thus he said. The Bhagavan answered the question: The Vajra of emptiness is called Vajra because it cannot be divided by the proliferation of conceptual thought. The Bodhisattva of great compassion liberates the three realms of desire, form, and formlessness at the same time, or, because it enters into Samata equality, the wisdom of the three realms without conceptual thought becomes of the same taste, that is, one, so it is called Bodhisattva. For this reason, with the reason arising from wisdom, one realizes such meaning, so it is called Vajrasattva. Being filled with the uncontaminated bliss of the great innate wisdom, which is always experienced in equanimity, this is called Mahabodhisattva, because everything is equal in the nature of great bliss, so it is Bodhisattva, and because it fills all beings, it is Maha. The Sanskrit word for Samaya means non-transgression, that is, always not transgressing the mind of enlightenment, acting in the deeds of the Buddha, or, always with the Samaya of the mind of enlightenment, benefiting all sentient beings, so it is called Samayasattva, which also does not transgress the act of benefiting others, so it is Samaya, it is the mind.

The lord enters into equality, hence the mind, which is the meaning of the letters. Or, Vajra is the realm that is not divided by birth and death. Mind is the oneness of the three existences as unreal. Great wisdom is the co-emergent nature of mind. Being filled with taste, experiencing its meaning. Vows are always practiced with various methods, this is the general meaning. Also, Vajra is the deity yoga that is not divided by ordinary thoughts. Mind is the appearance of all three existences as one. Great wisdom is the emptiness of self-nature. Being filled with taste is knowing everything as its own nature. Always remembering and practicing the vows to be protected, etc., this is the general meaning of the generation stage. Also, Vajra is the fierce fire that burns the aggregates or the undefiled Bodhicitta. Mind is the three winds merging into the central channel, or the essence of the elements merging into the bindu. Great wisdom is the non-conceptual or the co-emergent of bliss and emptiness union. Being filled with taste is abiding in the state of non-conceptuality, or bliss and emptiness pervading the whole body. Always practicing the vows of burning drops or union, this is the secret meaning. Also, Vajra is the stainless Suchness. Mind is the three existences merging into the Dharmadhatu. Great wisdom is the perfection of the five wisdoms. Being filled with taste is all of samsara and nirvana transforming into its own nature. Always not transgressing the vows for the benefit of others, manifesting throughout the world, this is the ultimate meaning. In short, the inseparability of emptiness and compassion is Vajrasattva, co-emergent wisdom is the great mind, the cessation of the movement of winds and the union with wisdom, thereby not leaking and abiding in the four joys is the vow mind. As it is said: From the stainless light, the nature of skillful means and wisdom combine, dissolving into the Dharmadhatu, body and miracles, Vajra mind, great mind, Bodhi mind, vow mind, real and unreal are all exhausted, universally spoken by the Thus-gone One. Thus, the way of combining the three bases, paths, and fruits should be understood from the general meaning. As it is said in the Ornament: Vajrasattva is, the generation stage of one face and two arms and the complete stage of clear light. Great mind
