The goddesses dwelling on the lotus petals of the four doors, beginning with the east, as previously shown, their hand symbols are: The White Goddess holds aloft a curved knife in her right hand, cutting off wrong views; similarly, in her left hand, she holds a type of fish called "Rohita," which in Tibetan is called "འཕེལ་བ," and is said to be white or red in color, and can cure major illnesses simply by taking a small amount, which is held as a symbol of weakening the imprints of samsara.

She holds the crude skull cup that ordinary people do not recognize, like a plowshare. In the right hand of Yungmo (Courageous Mother) is the indivisible vajra of realized wisdom, and in the left, she threatens all evil ones with a threatening gesture; this should be understood as such. The purity of these hand symbols comes from the Vajra Heart Essence Commentary, as explained in the Immaculate Light Commentary and its annotations. Among these yoginis, the four in the cardinal directions purify the four skandhas of form, feeling, perception, and mental formations; the four in the intermediate directions purify the four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind. Those who have attained the basis of Bodhicitta, all in a half-lotus dancing posture, with the left leg extended, the sole of the foot pressing down on their respective seats, and the right leg bent, the sole of the foot touching the left thigh, abide in this dancing posture. The eight goddesses, such as Karmo (White One), express the two hands symbolizing method and wisdom alternately. One face symbolizes suchness, and the three eyes of the three vajras symbolize the increase of the Buddha's qualities. The hair is reddish-yellow and stands upright, symbolizing the purification of the five Buddhas. The five bone ornaments—earrings, jewels, bracelets, and belts—adorn the body. The realization of the selflessness mother has already been discussed in the first eight chapters, so it is not mentioned here. The tiger skin skirt and khatvanga mentioned there should be omitted here, as they are not mentioned for Gauri and others, which serves as an indicator. So, what are the colors of these goddesses? Gauri Ma subdues sentient beings who have fallen under the power of demons, so her color turns black. Choma (Thief Woman) subdues those with attachment, so her color is like orpiment, that is, red. Rolangma subdues through the activity of increasing, so her color is like refined gold, reddish-yellow. Ghasmari subdues through direct action, so she is like an emerald, that is, emerald green. Pukkasi subdues through the activity of bewilderment, so she is indigo blue, that is, blue like an Indranila sapphire. Richroma subdues through the activity of pacifying, so she is like a moon jewel, that is, white like the light of the moon jewel Chandramani. Tummo subdues through the activity of stiffening, so she is bluish-green, like the clear sky without clouds. Yungmo (Courageous Mother) subdues beings to be tamed through various activities, so her color is diverse, like a vajra.
