If further divided, it will also become a number of lineages equal to the number of sands in the ten tributaries of the Ganges River. How does it change? This innate great secret lineage, as mentioned above, gives rise to the five families of Tathāgata lineages, which are the five root lineages. Each of the five root lineage groups is further divided into five internal small lineages, so the lineages become numerous, that is, twenty-five. These lineages, distinguished by means and wisdom, become fifty. Furthermore, distinguished by body and mind, or support and supported, the lineages become a hundred kinds.
