May all beings' minds be blessed to turn towards the Dharma. May we be blessed to walk the path of Dharma, to eliminate wrong paths, and to have wrong paths arise as wisdom. May all my karmic obscurations, afflictive obscurations, obscurations of knowledge, and habitual obscurations be purified right now. May this seat be purified, may this session be purified, may my continuum be purified, may this continuum be liberated. May we be blessed to be liberated right now, may this seat be purified, may this session be purified. May the supreme samadhi arise in my continuum without error. May it arise right now, may this seat be purified, may this session be purified. May the supreme wisdom arise without error. May it arise right now, may this seat be purified, may it arise in this session. Recite this as many times as appropriate. O precious lord of immeasurable compassion, together with your spiritual children, we beseech you: May the very essence of the teachings, the precious practice lineage, flourish and remain long. May all the holy beings who uphold it have long lives and may their activities increase. May all disease, famine, conflict, and strife be pacified throughout the world. May beings be tamed by the essential teachings. May the perverse thoughts and actions of demons and spirits be pacified. May powerful humans and non-humans have faith and devotion in you and your teachings. May you turn the helm of the six realms towards liberation. May our intentions in this life be accomplished according to the Dharma. May obstacles and hindrances to attaining liberation be pacified. May the two benefits, our own and others', be spontaneously accomplished. May the compassionate Jetsun bless us. May the bondage of the eight worldly concerns be loosened, may the pain of the afflictions be pacified, May the treasure of immeasurable bodhichitta be revealed, May the sun of wisdom arise from within. Grant the accomplishments of the great translator. May we travel the supreme vajra path without difficulty, May we swiftly attain in this life the supreme accomplishment of the spontaneously co-emergent wisdom of bliss and emptiness, the great seal. May the joyous Heruka hold us with compassion. Having perfected devotion to the profound path of the guru, May our own awareness, the innate dharmakaya, be realized. On this seat, may we accomplish the actual Vajradhara, the unified wisdom body. Then, taking the four empowerments: O glorious and holy gurus, please...

Please grant the four empowerments that ripen and liberate. Bless us to quickly ripen the four tantras. Please bestow the accomplishments of the four activities. At the very moment of making this supplication, all the retinue dissolve into light and merge into the main deity. The main deity, the embodiment of all the deities, manifests as the actual form of the Lama. From the hair-whorl at the eyebrow center, white light radiates forth. By dissolving into one's own forehead, the obscurations of the body are purified. One obtains the vase empowerment and has the authority to meditate on the generation stage. One becomes fortunate to attain the fruition of the nirmanakaya. From the throat center, red light radiates forth. By dissolving into one's own throat, the obscurations of speech are purified. One obtains the secret empowerment and has the authority to meditate on the channels and winds. One becomes fortunate to attain the fruition of the sambhogakaya. From the heart center, blue light radiates forth. By dissolving into one's own heart, the obscurations of mind are purified. One obtains the wisdom empowerment and has the authority to meditate on meditative absorption. One becomes fortunate to attain the fruition of the dharmakaya. From the three centers, white, red, and blue lights radiate forth. They dissolve into the three centers, purifying the defilements of the three doors. One obtains the fourth empowerment and has the authority to meditate on mahamudra. One becomes fortunate to accomplish the svabhavikakaya. From the ground of the unmade, spontaneously present from the beginning, when one abides in the great naturalness of ordinary being, the body of the dharmakaya, without birth or death, in the vast expanse of space, without change or transformation, will be seen. With the unborn self-sound, the recognition of the primordial is bestowed. Then the Lama dissolves into light and merges into oneself. One's own body, speech, and mind become inseparable and of one taste with the Lama's three vajras. Possessing the three essential points, spontaneous presence is naturally liberated. Thus, through the power of devotion, the mind and heart merge into one with the dharmakaya, which is maintained without artifice. During the breaks between sessions, the three aspects of appearance, sound, and thought are taken onto the path as the play of the Lama's body, speech, and mind. The second part has two sections: the actual practice of the deity Lama yoga, and taking the three kayas onto the path. The first is: From the state of emptiness, upon a lotus, sun, and four maras, one's own self arises as Hevajra, with a black body, four faces, three eyes, and an expression of wrathful smiling passion. The hair of the head is upright, adorned with various vajras. The sixteen hands, eight on the right and eight on the left, hold skullcups filled with essence. The first two hands embrace Nairatmya, holding a curved knife and skullcup, adorned with charnel ground ornaments, and possessing a dancing posture.
