There are various kinds (of practices), especially the unique Guru Yogas of the Mila's Whispered Lineage, both large and small, as well as the Great Faith of the Kamtsang, the Profound Path of the Drukpa Kagyu, etc. From the way the names are established, they are actually truly establishing Guru practice. The Secret Path Guru Yoga of the Incomparable Dagpo Rinpoche is widely known. I have also received the auspicious opportunity to experience the undiminished flow of ripening and liberation of these. Since the Profound Path also seems to have origins in the Han Chinese tradition, here too, following these, I will briefly explain the yoga, which is divided into three parts: outwardly, relying on the assembly of Gurus, the practice of devotion and supplication; inwardly, relying on the mandala of the Yidam, the practice of meditation, recitation, and wind energy; secretly, relying on the Five Buddha Families, combining the activities of the two benefits. The first part is: In a secluded place, arrange the offerings such as mandalas according to your ability, or it is also sufficient to rely solely on mental projection. Be motivated by the determination to definitely emerge from the three realms. Be guided by unbearable compassion for mother-like beings who wander endlessly in the ocean of samsara, tormented by suffering. Establish unwavering faith and respect from beginning to end for the noble Guru who appears in the form of Vajradhara, showing the path of liberation. First, visualize the Guru and retinue as actually present in the sky in front of you, and take refuge: The essence of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. The union of Guru, Yidam, and Dakini. To Jetsun Marpa Chokyi Lodro (Marpa the Translator), I take refuge until the essence of enlightenment. Generating Bodhicitta: Relying on this Profound Path Guru Yoga, May I attain supreme enlightenment in one lifetime, And establish all parent sentient beings, as vast as space, In the Vajra state that pleases all Buddhas.
