It increases on the path of meditation and becomes perfect on the path of no learning. The seventh analogy has three aspects: analogy, meaning, and combined explanation. First: Like the body of the Victorious One made of precious jewels, covered by tattered clothes and foul smells, the deity dwelling on the road sees it and liberates it, thus proclaiming the meaning of dwelling on the road. Like this, the body of the Victorious One made of priceless jewels, covered by tattered clothes and foul smells, is located at a crossroads on the road, and people do not recognize it and trample on it. At this time, the deity dwelling on the road sees it and liberates the body from it, thus proclaiming and indicating to the people the meaning of the body dwelling on the road. Second: The beginningless wisdom eye possesses various aspects, the essence of the Sugata obscured by afflictions, also observing sentient beings, thus for liberation, showing the means. Thus it is said, from beginningless time, the essence of the Tathagatagarbha, obscured by the tattered clothes of afflictions with various aspects of the three poisons and other habits, is also present in sentient beings, and the Buddha observes it with the eye of wisdom. Thus, eliminating the obscuration of the body, the Dharmadhatu of the mind also liberates from sudden obscurations, for the sake of liberation, showing the means of practicing the path, the immeasurable doors of the holy Dharma. Third: Like the precious nature of the Tathagata's body, covered by foul-smelling clothes, the deity dwelling on the road sees it and proclaims it to people for liberation. Likewise, the realm obscured by the tattered clothes of afflictions, dwelling on the path of samsara, also observing sentient beings, for the sake of liberation, the Victorious One teaches the Dharma. Thus it is said, like the Tathagata's body made of precious nature, covered by foul-smelling clothes, located at a crossroads on the road, and people cannot recognize it, the eye of the deity sees it, and for the sake of liberating the body from the tattered clothes, proclaims to the people that there is a body here. Likewise, the Buddha-nature obscured by the tattered clothes of afflictions, dwelling in the path of samsara, also observing sentient beings, for the sake of liberating them from the tattered clothes of afflictions, the Victorious One

The speaker teaches the Dharma through similes. The eighth simile has three parts: simile, meaning, and combined explanation. The first part is: Like an ugly, helpless woman, dwelling in a helpless place, holding the glory of a king in her womb, not knowing she has a master in her belly. Thus it is said, for example, some women are ugly in appearance and without protection or refuge, they dwell in places for the helpless, such as inns and houses, because they hold a son with the marks of a wheel-turning king in their womb, but because the womb is obscured, they do not know that the being in their belly is the master of men, therefore they suffer fear of being despised by others, and endure suffering. The second part is: Birth in existence is like a helpless house, impure beings are like pregnant women, what does she have that makes her protected, the stainless realm is like her womb. Thus it is said, birth in various states of samsara, because it is accompanied by suffering, is like dwelling in a house without protection or refuge. Although sudden afflictions and impure beings have protection and refuge, they do not know it, just like a woman carrying a king in her womb. Just as that woman is protected because she has a king, what nature does that being have that makes it have the best protection? That is the naturally pure and stainless realm, the Tathagatagarbha manifests, therefore, in order to be liberated from all fears, it is like the king in the woman's womb. The third part is: Like a woman with a body stained with dirt, wearing ugly clothes and having an unattractive appearance, even though she carries the lord of the earth in her womb, she experiences great suffering in a helpless house. Likewise, the self-nature dwells within, although there is a protector, one has a helpless mind, beings are driven by afflictions, the mind is not pacified, and one dwells in a place of suffering. Thus it is said, for example, a woman with a body stained with dirt, wearing ugly clothes, and having an unattractive appearance, even though she carries the wheel-turning king who rules the earth in her womb,
