Therefore, it is said that in order to dispel darkness with the light of wisdom, the Buddha himself is like the stainless sun. Because in order to completely abandon in one's own continuum the dust-like attachments that, by clinging to the three realms, cause mental afflictions; and also in order to teach the Dharma to many other trainees, whose continuums are like lotus flowers, causing the water of meditative absorption to flow and moistening them with calm abiding and insight; therefore, the Buddha, who has perfected the two benefits, is like a delightful pond completely filled with pure water and covered with many lotuses. Because from one's own continuum, one is liberated from the unpleasant and always tormenting obscurations of hatred and malice like Rahu, and out of great compassion, wishing other beings to be free from suffering, and out of great love, wishing to meet with benefit, one pervades all trainees like rays of light, thereby taking them into one's care, therefore, the Buddha, who has perfected the two benefits, is like the stainless full moon freed from Rahu. And also because from one's own continuum, one is liberated from the obscurations of ignorance and delusion of the three realms, like thick clouds, and thus preaches the Dharma in accordance with the faculties of the extremely numerous trainees, dispelling all the darkness of ignorance with the rays of wisdom, therefore, the Buddha himself, who has perfected the two benefits, is like the stainless and bright sun freed from the clouds. Third, for the sake of the Dharma that is unequal and yet possesses equality, and for bestowing the taste of the excellent Dharma, and because it is free from chaff, the Thus-Gone One is like the essence of honey. For the sake of purity, and for the sake of dispelling poverty with the substance of merit, and for the sake of producing the fruit of liberation, it is like gold, treasure, and trees. For the sake of the precious Dharma body, and for the sake of the supreme of the two-legged ones, and for the sake of the form of the precious form body, he is like the precious royal gold. Thus it is said that the perfect Bodhi, which possesses two kinds of purity, is because it possesses the Dharma of qualities that is not the same as anything else, but only the same as the Buddha; and also because it bestows the excellent

Because the assembly of mothers is to bestow upon those who are to be tamed, and to be free from the shell of the two obscurations including habitual tendencies. Just as the Sugata emerges from the lotus in order, the honey free from bees, and the essence of the fruit that comes from the husk. Similarly, because it is naturally stainless and also completely pure from sudden faults, and because it eliminates all the poverty and destitution of those to be tamed with the inexhaustible treasures of qualities, and because it bestows upon those to be tamed the great bliss of liberation from suffering, it is like pure gold purified from impurity, a great treasure emerging from the depths of the earth, and a tree with fruit. Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, because the Dharmakaya with immeasurable qualities is manifest, and in order for the chief of those to be tamed, the two-legged ones, to obtain the Sambhogakaya, the master or supreme guide, and like the form of a statue made of precious gold, to show the Nirmanakaya with various manifestations, Therefore, it is like a precious body free from tattered clothes, a Chakravartin king free from the womb, and a golden statue free from mud. The first verse shows the ultimate fruit, the second shows liberation from obscurations, and the third shows the Buddha who is completely perfect with the three kayas. After the third verse is the extensive explanation, which is divided into two parts: briefly showing how to accomplish the two benefits, and explaining its meaning in detail. The first part is divided into two parts: the activity of self-nature, and the activity of purification by all dharmas. The first part is: The one with uncontaminated, pervasive, and indestructible Dharma nature, is stable, peaceful, constant, immutable, and abiding. The Thus-gone One, like the sky, is pure, the cause of experiencing the meaning of the six senses. It is said that the uncontaminated refers to the complete abandonment that does not have even a trace of habitual tendencies, and the complete realization that pervades all knowable things as they are and as many as they are, that is, the ultimate Buddha who possesses the perfection of abandonment and realization, is eternally indestructible.
