By cultivating the wisdom that arises from contemplating the essence of sentient beings, like obtaining a treasure from underground, one initially experiences conformity with the abiding nature of the essence. Gradually becoming clearer, ultimately, immaculate wisdom arises from the direct realization of non-conceptual, non-erroneous understanding, thereby manifesting the self-purified Dharmakaya, free from adventitious defilements, which is inevitable. Inevitability depends on necessity. Necessity depends on the object to be expressed, so if the former does not exist, the latter will not arise. This single cause-and-effect relationship, like fire and smoke, or like the sun and its rays, is established as the relationship. After briefly explaining the general meaning of these, the second fundamental part, the detailed explanation of the words and meaning of the actual text, is divided into three parts: the title and homage that correspond to the meaning; the actual treatise that possesses supreme meaning; and the way to properly translate that meaning. The first part has two parts: the title and the translator's homage. The title also has two parts: writing in both Sanskrit and Tibetan, and explaining its meaning. The first part is: In the Indian language: Mahāyāna Uttaratantraśāstra (梵文天城体:महायान उत्तरतन्त्रशास्त्र,梵文罗马拟音:mahāyāna uttaratantraśāstra,汉语字面意思:Great Vehicle, Supreme Continuum, Treatise). In Tibetan: ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོ་རྒྱུད་བླ་མའི་བསྟན་བཅོས། (Great Vehicle, Supreme Continuum Treatise). It is called India because in the vast region, white clothing is the main characteristic, or it is named according to the way the suffix is guided. In the sacred land (India), the place where the Buddha appeared, there are four major languages. Among them, Saṃskṛta (梵文天城体:संस्कृत,梵文罗马拟音:saṃskṛta,汉语字面意思:Sanskrit), which is the perfected language, the language of the gods, appears Mahāyāna (梵文天城体:महायान,梵文罗马拟音:mahāyāna,汉语字面意思:Great Vehicle) and so on. Translated into Tibetan. Mahā (梵文天城体:महा,梵文罗马拟音:mahā,汉语字面意思:Great) means great. Yāna (梵文天城体:यान,梵文罗马拟音:yāna,汉语字面意思:Vehicle) means vehicle. Uttara (梵文天城体:उत्तर,梵文罗马拟音:uttara,汉语字面意思:Supreme) means supreme. Tantra (梵文天城体:तन्त्र,梵文罗马拟音:tantra,汉语字面意思:Continuum) means continuum. Śāstra (梵文天城体:शास्त्र,梵文罗马拟音:śāstra,汉语字面意思:Treatise) means treatise. The second part is: Vehicle, because it carries, it is the vehicle of the cause; because it carries here, it is the vehicle of the result, which is generally applicable to both large and small. Great, possessing the seven greatnesses of object, practice, wisdom, diligence, skillful means, accomplishment, and activity, therefore this is specific. Continuum, if according to the continuum of expressible words, then words and letters are continuous in meaning, like the so-called continuous third "འདོན" (recitation). If according to what is expressed, then the essence of the Sugata is continuous in the three stages of base, path, and result. Supreme, if according to the expressible,

Just as integrating medicine into clinical practice is known as the "Later Tantra," here, the profound meaning is condensed and revealed. Or, in terms of the subject matter, it is the supreme meaning, as it demonstrates the unsurpassed vehicle. The treatise is generally for taming students, especially taming from the cause of afflictions, and saving from the results of evil destinies and samsara. In the "Science of Elucidation," it says: Taming all the enemies of afflictions, and whatever saves from evil destinies and samsara, is a treatise for the sake of the qualities of taming and saving. These two are not found in other systems. Like that. Here, there are many types of names, such as naming from examples, numbers, text size, collators, places, times, and subjects. And here, it is considered to be named according to the subject and function. Second, I prostrate to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Among them, the Sanskrit word for Buddha is Buddha, which means abandoning the sleep of ignorance, like waking up from sleep. Or, it refers to the realization of the expansion of knowledge, like a lotus opening. With wisdom, one inclines towards enlightenment, and with compassion, one gazes upon sentient beings, or one endures for the sake of enlightenment, therefore it is a Bodhisattva. Because the word "sattva" has the meanings of formation, awakening, and courage. To all of these, I respectfully bow with the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Just as the great translators, at the beginning of their translations, prostrated to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas before beginning to translate the treatises, we should also, after prostrating to the desired deity, engage in writing, explaining, etc. This is the teaching for later generations. Second, the actual explanation of the treatise is divided into three parts: the placement of the body, the detailed explanation of the branches, and the action of completing the explanation. The first part is divided into three points: the body of the treatise is shown as the seven vajra places, combining its source with the sutras, and showing the connection of its order. The first point is: Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, realm, Bodhi, and qualities, the Buddha's activities are the last. The body of all treatises, in short, is these seven vajra places. It is said that what is to be attained is the complete accomplishment of the two benefits of oneself and others.
