Three aspects of. For the Sangha, no matter how many, each individually knows, which are the three qualities of knowledge. Liberation from the obscurations of weak attachment, which are the three qualities of liberation. For these, too, as before, combining the basis of classification and the manner of classification, with eighty-eight kinds of qualities, the nature of each of the three supreme jewels possessing qualities is explained. Divided into three temporary refuges. The ultimate refuge is established as the sole Buddha. With the meaning of the word "Three Jewels," the classification of the object to be attained, the Three Jewels, is clearly elucidated. After that, by means of what exists, the Three Jewels, the objects of the world and beyond, are made to be accomplished. The Suchness with defilements and without defilements. The stainless Buddha's qualities are the treasury of the victorious ones. Thus, the branches of the four places of attainment are extensively explained. That is, the place to be realized, the realm with defilements, is naturally pure. The place of realization of one's own nature is the Bodhi free from all defilements. The place of the branch of that realization is the qualities related to Bodhi. The other places of realization are the power of qualities, the activities, which are the four places that encompass all that is to be known. And the first of these, placing the lineage of that Three Jewels within the category of Suchness, in order to show that all sentient beings possess the essence of the Tathagata. The complete Buddha body is radiating, etc., establishing three reasons in one verse. Although each reason can establish the existence of the Buddha's essence, it is spoken in various ways to suit different trainees. All that follows is merely a meaning emanating from this, which is the nature of reality, the ultimate truth, the meaning of the intention of the Dharmadhatu, naturally pure, well distinguished and determined, is the essence of the condensed meaning. Determined as ten classifications according to the intention of each Sutra, and combined with nine similes according to the intention of the Essence Sutra. The way to determine that. Summarized by the necessity of showing the essence. The first of these is: nature, cause, effect, etc., one verse appears. The Dharmakaya Suchness as the basis, the lineage realm, naturally pure, is the meaning of nature. And the method of removing the temporary defilements existing in the realm, faith, etc., the Dharmakaya of the path is the meaning of the cause.

The very essence of reality, being free from adventitious defilements, and having attained the four perfections, is the meaning of the Dharmakaya fruit; due to the reason of having lineage, seeing the faults of samsara and becoming disillusioned, and seeing the qualities of nirvana and giving rise to the desire to attain it, is the meaning of karma; this realm possessing the qualities of cause such as faith and aspiration, and the qualities of result such as clairvoyance, is the meaning of possessing; the dependent individual, dharma and non-dharma, depending in different ways, the nature of reality also entering into the distinctions of the three states, is the meaning of entering; although there is no difference in nature, the three individuals showing only a difference in name due to the difference in states, is the meaning of state; these three, from the perspective of self and general, the Dharmadhatu pervading like space, is the meaning of pervasiveness; although phenomena undergo birth, cessation, increase, and decrease, the nature of reality is devoid of these, is the meaning of immutability; in all states of base, path, and fruit, the immeasurable qualities of separation and maturation, being inexpressible as either the same or different from it, existing like the sun and its rays, is the meaning of indivisibility. These ten meanings also completely demonstrate the base, path, and fruit for one person to attain Buddhahood. Secondly, it is shown by Buddha, lotus, bad color, etc.: the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge that exist from ordinary beings to the end of training, are explained by combining the nine metaphors of obscuring defilements such as lotus, bad color, etc., and the three natures of the Dharmakaya Tathagatagarbha, with the nine metaphors of the Dharmadhatu that are obscured, such as Buddha, etc. Thirdly, the reality of the nature of reality, the ultimate truth, is not truly realized by ordinary beings who cling to the aggregates of fear, Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who cling to inversion, and beginner Bodhisattvas whose minds are distracted by emptiness, although they generate faith, but it is realized by the profound wisdom of non-abandonment and non-establishment. Fourthly, the necessity of showing the Tathagatagarbha, which is difficult for the noble ones to see, to ordinary beings, and the elimination of the contradiction between the teaching of no self-nature in the intermediate turning of the wheel and the teaching of the existence of the essence in the final turning of the wheel, completes the first chapter. Thereafter, the Dharmadhatu is free from all defilements, therefore the Buddhas abide in the uncontaminated realm, completely transformed into the immaculate.
