Similarly, the Dharmadhatu of non-being is likewise without distinction and universally pervasive in all states of beings. Second, it is the common characteristic, encompassing ultimate faults and qualities, like the sky in inferior, intermediate, and supreme forms. It is said that the Dharmadhatu, being naturally pure, is the common characteristic or Dharmata of all dharmas. It equally follows and pervades all states of ordinary beings with faults, Bodhisattvas with qualities, and Tathagatas with ultimate qualities. For example, like the sky that follows and pervades all inferior earthen vessels, intermediate copper vessels, and supreme golden vessels. Seventh, the meaning of immutability has two aspects: a brief explanation of the essence and a detailed explanation of immutability in three states. First: Because faults are endowed with suddenness, and qualities are endowed with inherent nature, just as before, so too afterward, it is the immutable Dharmata. It is said that although the Dharmadhatu has three states, there is no fault of not being immutable. In the impure state, faults are endowed with the suddenness of being able to be abandoned, and are not truly established. In the pure state, the inherent nature of qualities is endowed with spontaneous accomplishment, and is not newly born. Just as in the previous impure state, so too in the later pure state, it remains the same and never changes, which is the Dharmata or nature of this Dharmadhatu. The second has three: immutability in the impure state, in the impure yet pure state, and in the utterly pure state. The first has four: the essence is not stained by impurities, the phenomenon of arising and ceasing appears in the object of Dharma, the Dharmata is not harmed by fear, and the extensive explanation of dependent origination. First: Just as the sky pervades all, it is not closely stained because of its subtlety, likewise, this place is not closely stained in all sentient beings. It is said that, for example, the unconditioned sky pervades all conditioned forms, but because it is subtle, it is not coarse

Because, just as the faults of form, such as impermanence, are never tainted, so too, for all sentient beings, the clear light of the Dharma realm that pervades the nature of mind, the essence of the Tathagata is also naturally pure, so the faults of sentient beings, such as afflictions, are never tainted. Secondly, as in all the worlds, arising and ceasing in the sky, so in the uncreated realm, the senses arise and cease. As it is said, just as all external vessel worlds, at all times, rely on the opening of space, first arising and finally appearing to perish, so too, the aggregates, realms, and sources represented by the senses of sentient beings, relying on the uncreated Dharma realm wisdom, first arise and finally appear to perish, but the Dharma nature Tathagatagarbha does not have arising and ceasing. Thirdly, as the fires of the sky, never burned before, so this is not burned by the fire of death, sickness, and old age. As it is said, for example, conditioned things are burned by the fire of the end of the kalpa, the fire of hell, and the three fires of nature, but the unconditioned sky is never burned by all three fires. Sentient beings are burned by the three fires of death, etc., but the essence of the Dharma realm is not burned by the fire of death at the end of the kalpa, the fire of disease in hell, and the three fires of old age. Fourth, there are three explanations of dependent origination in detail: showing the way of arising by combining examples and meanings, explaining the essence of being free from extremes and without impurity, and summarizing the examples and meanings of arising and ceasing. The first has four: example, meaning, combining the two, and the way of arising. The first is: earth depends on water, water depends on wind, wind dwells greatly in space, space does not dwell in wind and water, and the element of earth. As it is said, when the world is formed and dwells, the great earth wheel depends on the water wheel, water depends on the wind wheel, and wind dwells greatly in space, although it depends, but

Space does not abide in wind, water, or earth elements, because space does not depend on causes and conditions. Secondly, it is said: 'Thus aggregates, realms, and sense bases, Abide in karma and afflictions. Karma and afflictions are not proper, They constantly abide in attention. Improper attention, Greatly abides in the purity of mind. The nature of mind, all phenomena, Do not abide in anything.' As the example shows, the five aggregates, the eighteen realms, and the six sense faculties with outflows, along with the six objects, abide in karma and afflictions. Karma and afflictions constantly abide in improper attention, such as clinging to self. Improper attention greatly abides in the purity of mind, which is luminous by nature. However, the luminous nature of mind does not abide in all temporary phenomena, because the luminous nature of mind is unconditioned. Thirdly, it is said: 'Like the earth element are the aggregates, Know the sense bases and realms. Like the water element are embodied beings, Know karma and afflictions. Improper attention, Should be seen as like the wind element. The nature is like the space element, It has no basis and does not abide.' It is said that just as the earth mandala is formed relying on water, the five aggregates, twelve sense bases, and eighteen realms, along with grasping, are known to be accomplished relying on karma and afflictions. Just as the water element is the cause for the accomplishment of the earth mandala, the afflicted karma and afflictions of embodied beings are known to be the cause for the accomplishment of the aggregates, sense bases, and realms. Improper attention, because it arouses karma and afflictions, should be viewed and understood as the wind element is the support of the water mandala. The nature of mind, the Tathagatagarbha, like the space element, although it is the support of all things, does not abide in anything. Similarly, although it is the support of temporary phenomena, its own nature does not depend on any basis and does not abide anywhere. Fourthly, like
