The arrogant gods, and all the happiness and Dharma of all beings, all of these come from the supreme Prajnaparamita. Thus it is said. From the "Ornament of Precious Liberation, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel of the True Dharma," the seventeenth chapter, the chapter on Prajnaparamita. Thus, first generating the supreme Bodhicitta, diligently practicing these trainings, the Bhumi and paths of the Bodhisattva will be traversed in sequence. As for the explanation of the path, the summary is: the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of perfect completion, these five paths completely encompass all paths. Thus it is said. These five paths, according to the text of "Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment," also state that first, the lesser and intermediate persons cultivate the Dharma to stabilize the foundation, then generate Bodhicitta through aspiration and engagement, and then strive to accumulate the two accumulations, all of which excellently explain the path of accumulation. By "gradually obtaining warmth, etc.," it explains the path of preparation. By "obtaining Joyful, etc.," it explains the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of perfect completion. Among these, the path of accumulation is when a person endowed with the lineage first generates the supreme Bodhicitta, receives instructions from the teacher, and all the efforts to engage in virtue until the wisdom of warmth has not arisen. During this time, it can be divided into four types: arising from realization and faith, especially arising from desire, and arising from attainment. Why is it called the path of accumulation? Because in order to make warmth and other realizations suitable as vessels for arising, one accumulates the accumulation of virtue, therefore it is called the path of accumulation. These are also called the roots of virtue that are in accordance with the aspects of liberation. At this stage, if considered from the perspective of the Dharma that is conducive to enlightenment, it is the practice of the four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, and the four legs of miraculous power, that is, the practice of twelve dharmas. Among these, the four mindfulnesses are: mindfulness of the body, mindfulness of feeling, mindfulness of the mind, and mindfulness of phenomena, these are the stages of the lesser path of accumulation. The four right abandonments are:

Abandoning the non-virtuous dharmas that have arisen, not generating the non-virtuous dharmas that have not arisen, generating the antidote virtuous dharmas that have not arisen, and increasing the virtuous dharmas that have arisen, these are the stages of the intermediate path of accumulation. The four legs of miraculous power are: samadhi of aspiration, samadhi of diligence, samadhi of mind, and samadhi of investigation. These are the stages of the great path of accumulation. The path of preparation is after the culmination of the highest path of accumulation, the arising of the realization of the four truths, and the four aspects of ascertainment that are in accordance with it, namely, heat, peak, forbearance, and supreme mundane dharma. Why are they called the path of preparation? Because they have the meaning of joining with the manifest realization of the truths, they are called the path of preparation. Moreover, in the stages of heat and peak, they possess the five faculties, namely, the faculty of faith, the faculty of diligence, the faculty of mindfulness, the faculty of samadhi, and the faculty of wisdom. In the stages of forbearance and supreme mundane dharma, they possess the five powers, namely, the power of faith, the power of diligence, the power of mindfulness, the power of samadhi, and the power of wisdom. The path of seeing is, following the supreme mundane dharma, with the union of calm abiding and insight that focuses on the four noble truths, that is, the forbearance of knowing the dharma of suffering, knowing the dharma of suffering, the forbearance of knowing the subsequent realization of suffering, knowing the subsequent realization of suffering, and so on, each of the four truths having four aspects, possessing the nature of sixteen moments of forbearance and knowledge. Why are they called the path of seeing? Because they see the noble truths that were not seen before, they are called the path of seeing. In that stage, they possess the seven branches of enlightenment, namely, the branch of mindfulness enlightenment, the branch of discrimination of dharmas enlightenment, the branch of diligence enlightenment, the branch of joy enlightenment, the branch of serenity enlightenment, the branch of samadhi enlightenment, and the branch of equanimity enlightenment. The path of meditation is, starting from the arising of the path of seeing, in which there is the mundane.
