Also, in the Sutra of the Great Crown: "Better than hearing and thinking for many eons is contemplating the meaning of the Dharma for one day, for the merit is greater. Why is that? Because it causes one to be far separated from the path of birth and death." Thus it is said. Also, in the Sutra of Entering Faith: "Better than the accumulation of provisions by sentient beings of the three realms for as long as they live is a yogi's contemplation of emptiness for a single session, for the merit is greater." Thus it is said. If the meaning of emptiness does not abide in the mind, then those other virtues will not obtain liberation for oneself, as it is shown. In the Sutra Showing the Non-arising of Dharmas: "For a long time guarding morality, and practicing meditation for billions of eons, if one does not realize this limit with the true meaning, then they will not be liberated from this teaching. Whoever knows this Dharma of nothingness, that one will never destroy all Dharmas." Thus it is said. Also, in the Ten Wheels of Ksitigarbha: "By meditating on samadhi, doubt will be cut off, but others cannot do it. Therefore, meditating on samadhi is supreme, and the wise should diligently apply themselves to it." And, again, in that same text: "Better than writing the Dharma, reading it, listening to it, explaining it, and reciting it for eons is meditating for one day, for the merit is greater." Thus it is said. If one possesses such a meaning of emptiness, then there is nothing that is not included in this Dharma. Taking refuge is also like that. In the Sutra Requested by Anavatapta: "A Bodhisattva knows that all Dharmas are without self, without sentient beings, without life, without person, not form, not sign, not Dharma. The Tathagata has not truly seen such a thing. That is taking refuge in the Buddha with a confused and defiled mind. The Dharmata of the Tathagata, whatever it is, that is the Dharmadhatu. Whatever the Dharmadhatu is, that is called following all Dharmas. Thus, seeing the Dharmadhatu that follows all Dharmas, seeing in that way is taking refuge in the Dharma with an undefiled mind. Whoever meditates on the uncompounded Dharmadhatu, and relies on the uncompounded Hearer Vehicle,

Like this, there is no opposition between what can be destroyed and what is destroyed, between what is conditioned and what is unconditioned. With a mind free from defilement, one takes refuge in the Sangha. Thus it is said. Generating Bodhicitta is also like this. In the Sutra of Great Aspiration, it is said: "Light Protector! All dharmas are without characteristics like the sky, and are originally clear and pure, that is the generation of Bodhicitta." Thus it is said. Even if one practices the deity in the generation stage and recites mantras, it is said to be complete if one has this. From where is that said? In the Hevajra it is said: There is no meditation nor meditator, there is no deity nor mantra. In the nature of non-elaboration, deities and mantras abide perfectly. Vairochana, Akshobhya, Amoghasiddhi, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, heart sons. Thus it is said. In the Buddha Samayogatantra it is said: From images, rituals, etc., yoga will not arise. If one is diligent in Bodhicitta, then from that yoga transforms into a deity. Thus it is said. In the Vajrasekhara it is also said: The nature of all mantras is the mind of all Buddhas, it is the essence of accomplishing the Dharma, it is completely in accordance with the Dharmadhatu, it is said to be the nature of mantras. And so on, it is said. Performing fire puja is also included in this. In the Secret Essence King Tantra it is said: For what reason is fire puja said to be the giving of supreme accomplishment, and fire puja is performed to destroy discrimination, it is not fire puja by burning wood and other things. Thus it is said. The six paramitas are also all included in this. In the Vajra Samadhi Sutra it is also said: If one does not move from emptiness, then the six paramitas are complete. Thus it is said. In the Brahma Visesacinta Pariprccha Sutra it is also said: Not thinking is generosity, not abiding in difference is morality, not distinguishing difference is patience, without acceptance or rejection is diligence, without attachment is meditation, not discriminating is wisdom. Thus it is said. In the Ksitigarbha Sutra it is also said: The wise meditate on the Dharma of emptiness, they do not rely on or abide in all worlds, they do not abide in all existence, and they keep the completely virtuous precepts. Thus it is said. Again, that same.
