ཆོས་མི་གཏོང་ ན་དཔའ་བོ་སུམ་བརྒྱ་བཀྲལ་ནས། ཉིན་རེ་བཞིན་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ལུས་ལས་ཤ་སྲང་ལྔ་ལྔ་གཅོད་ཟེར་ཡང་ཆོས་མི་གཏོང་བའོ། །རྨོངས་པས་ཆོས་ལས་མི་འདའ་བ་ནི། མི་ཤེས་པའི་ཕྱོགས་ནས་ཆོས་མི་གཏོང་བ་སྟེ། དཔེར་ན་འགའ་ཞིག་ན་རེ། ལས་མི་བདེན། འབྲས་བུ་མི་བདེན། དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་མི་བདེན། ཁྱོད་ཆོས་བྱས་ནས་ཅི་བྱེད། ཆོས་ཞོག་ཟེར་ཡང་ཆོས་མི་གཏོང་བའོ། །དེ་ལྟར་རྣམ་པ་བཞི་དང་ལྡན་པ་དེ་དད་པ་ཅན་ཡིན། ངེས་ལེགས་བསྒྲུབ་པའི་སྣོད་མཆོག་ཡིན་ནོ། །དེ་ལྟར་དད་པ་དེ་དག་ཡོད་ན་ཕན་ཡོན་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་དེ། སྐྱེས་བུ་མཆོག་གི་སེམས་སྐྱེ་བ་ཡིན། མི་ཁོམ་པ་རྣམས་སྤོང་བ་ཡིན། དབང་པོ་རྣོ་ཞིང་གསལ་བ་ཡིན། ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་མི་ཉམས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །ཉོན་མོངས་པ་འཇིལ་བ་ཡིན་བདུད་ཀྱི་སྤྱོད་ཡུལ་ལས་འདའ་བ་ཡིན། ཐར་པའི་ལམ་རྙེད་པར་འགྱུར་བ་ཡིན། དགེ་བ་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་བསོག་པ་ཡིན། སངས་རྒྱས་མང་པོ་མཐོང་བ་ཡིན། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབ་པ་ཡིན། དེ་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཡོན་ཏན་བསམ་གྱིས་མི་ཁྱབ་པ་འབྱུང་ ངོ་། །དེ་ལྟར་ཡང་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཏ་ལའི་གཟུངས་ལས། རྒྱལ་དང་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཆོས་ལ་དད་གྱུར་ཞིང་། །སངས་རྒྱས་སྲས་ཀྱི་སྤྱོད་ལ་དད་བྱེད་པ། །བྱང་ཆུབ་བླ་ན་མེད་ལ་དད་གྱུར་ན། །སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་སེམས་སྐྱེའོ། །ཞེས་པ་ལ་སོགས་པ་གསུངས་སོ། །ཡང་དད་པ་ཡོད་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་རྣམས་ཀྱང་དེའི་དྲུང་དུ་བྱོན་ནས་ཆོས་སྟོན་པར་བྱེད་དོ། །དེ་ལྟར་ཡང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་སྡེ་སྣོད་ལས། དེ་ལྟར་དད་པ་ལ་གནས་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་ནི། སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ཀྱི་སྣོད་དུ་རིག་ནས། དེའི་དྲུང་དུ་གཤེགས་ཏེ། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་ལམ་ཡང་དག་པར་སྟོན་ཏོ། །ཞེས་སོ། །དེ་ལྟར་ན་མི་ལུས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ལུས་དལ་འབྱོར་རྣམ་པ་གཉིས་དང་ལྡན་པ། སེམས་དད་པ་རྣམ་པ་གསུམ་དང་ལྡན་པ་དེ། བླ་མེད་ཀྱིི་བྱང་ཆུབ་བསྒྲུབ་པའི་རྟེན་གྱི་གང་ཟག་ཡིན་ནོ། །དམ་པའི་ཆོས་ཡིད་བཞིན་གྱི་ནོར་བུ་ཐར་པ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་རྒྱན་ལས་རྟེན་གྱི་ལེའུ་སྟེ་གཉིས་པའོ།། །།རྐྱེན་ནི་དགེ་ བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་ཡིན། །ཞེས་པ་ལ། དེ་ལྟར་རྟེན་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་ལྡན་ཡང་། རྐྱེན་དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་གྱིས་མ་བསྐུལ་ན། སྔར་གྱི་བྱ་བ་ངན་པ་ལ་གོམས་ཤིང་། བག་ཆགས་བརྟས་པའི་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཀྱི་ལམ་ལ་འཇུག་པར་དཀའོ། དེས་ན་དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་བསྟེན་པར་བྱ་སྟེ།

不舍弃佛法 如果说要处决三百个勇士，每天从你的身上割下五两肉，也不舍弃佛法。愚昧而不舍弃佛法，是从不了解的方面不舍弃佛法，例如有些人说：业不真实，果不真实，三宝不真实，你修行佛法做什么？即使说放弃佛法，也不舍弃佛法。像这样具有四种品德的人，就是有信仰的人，是成办决定胜妙的法器。像这样具有这些信仰，利益是不可估量的，能生起殊胜丈夫的心，舍弃无暇之处，根器敏锐而明晰，戒律不会衰损。能摧毁烦恼，超越魔的行境，能够获得解脱之道，积累广大的善根，能见到许多佛，受到佛的加持，等等，产生不可思议的功德。 像《宝积陀罗尼经》中所说： “对佛和佛的教法具有信心， 对佛子的行为具有信心， 对无上菩提具有信心， 能生起大丈夫的心。” 等等这样说了。还有，如果有信心，诸佛世尊也会来到他的面前说法。就像《菩萨藏经》中所说：像这样安住于信心的菩萨，诸佛世尊知道他是佛法的法器，来到他的面前，如实地宣说菩萨道。像这样，所谓的人身难得，具有身体的两种圆满，心具有三种信心，就是成就无上菩提之所依的补特伽罗。《正法如意宝解脱宝饰》中，所依之品第二。 缘是善知识。像这样，即使具有圆满的所依，如果没有善知识的劝请，由于习惯于以前的恶行，串习增长的力量，难以进入菩提道。因此，应当依止善知识。

Not abandoning the Dharma Even if it is said that three hundred heroes will be executed, and five ounces of flesh will be cut from your body every day, do not abandon the Dharma. Not abandoning the Dharma out of ignorance means not abandoning the Dharma from the aspect of not understanding. For example, some people say: Karma is not real, the result is not real, the Three Jewels are not real. What do you do by practicing the Dharma? Even if they say abandon the Dharma, do not abandon the Dharma. One who possesses these four qualities is a faithful person and an excellent vessel for accomplishing definite goodness. If one has such faith, the benefits are immeasurable: the mind of a supreme being arises, one abandons unfavorable conditions, one's faculties are sharp and clear, and one's discipline does not decline. One destroys afflictions, transcends the realm of demons, attains the path of liberation, accumulates great merit, sees many Buddhas, and is blessed by the Buddhas. Thus, countless qualities arise. As it is said in the Dhāraṇī of the Jewel Heap: "Having faith in the Victorious Ones and the Dharma of the Victorious Ones, Having faith in the conduct of the Buddha's sons, Having faith in the unsurpassed Bodhi, The minds of great beings will arise." And so forth. Furthermore, if one has faith, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, will come to him and teach the Dharma. As it is said in the Bodhisattva Piṭaka: The Bodhisattva who abides in faith is recognized by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, as a vessel of the Buddhadharma. They come to him and teach the Bodhisattva path correctly. Thus, the precious human body, endowed with the two perfections of body, and the mind endowed with the three faiths, is the individual who is the basis for accomplishing the unsurpassed Bodhi. The second chapter, "The Basis," from The Jewel Ornament of Liberation, the Precious Jewel of the True Dharma, the Wish-Fulfilling Gem. The condition is a virtuous friend. Thus, even if one has a perfect basis, if one is not urged by a virtuous friend, it is difficult to enter the path of Bodhi due to the force of habituation to previous evil deeds and the increase of imprints. Therefore, one should rely on a virtuous friend.
