The tenth is also like that, the remaining seven are also suffering, so it is said. Again, for example, ignorance is like a sower. Karma is like a field. Consciousness is like a seed. Craving is like moisture. Name and form are like a sprout. Others are like branches and leaves, and so on. If ignorance does not arise, actions will not appear. Similarly, if birth does not occur, old age and death will not appear either. However, because there is ignorance, actions are manifested and accomplished. Because there is birth, old age and death are manifested and accomplished. In this regard, ignorance does not think, "I will manifest and accomplish actions." Actions do not think, "We are manifested and accomplished by ignorance." Likewise, birth does not think, "I will manifest and accomplish old age and death." Old age and death do not think, "I am manifested and accomplished by birth." However, because there is ignorance, actions are manifested, accomplished, and arise. Similarly, because there is birth, old age and death are manifested, accomplished, and arise. Similarly, because there is birth, old age and death are manifested, accomplished, and arise. Thus, internal dependent origination should be seen as having causes. Or, internal dependent origination is related to conditions, because it is assembled from the six elements: earth, water, fire, wind, space, and consciousness. Among these, that which manifests and accomplishes the solid substance of the body is called the earth element. That which performs the function of gathering the body is called the water element. That which digests what is eaten and drunk is called the fire element. That which performs the function of the breath moving in and out is called the wind element. The space within the body is called the space element. The collection of the five consciousnesses, and the defiled consciousness of the mind, is called the consciousness element. Without these conditions, the body will not arise, but when these six elements are complete, all methods are gathered together, and from that

It will eventually manifest. In this regard, the six elements will not think, "I will accomplish the solidity of the body, etc."; the body will not think, "I am produced by these causes and conditions," but it will be completely produced from these causes and conditions. So, in how many lifetimes are these twelve links of dependent origination completed? In the Sutra of the Ten Bhumis it says: "Conditioned by ignorance are the formations" refers to looking at the past extreme; from consciousness to feeling refers to looking at the present arising; between craving and existence refers to looking at the future, and thereafter it will continue to arise. Thus it is said. The dependent origination of liberation from samsara, which is the opposite of this, is: by realizing the nature of all phenomena as emptiness, ignorance ceases, and when ignorance ceases, old age and death, etc., cease in sequence. As it is said: From the cessation of ignorance, formations cease, and so on, when birth ceases, then old age and death, sorrow and, lamentation and, suffering and, displeasure and, disturbance, etc., cease, and thus this great mass of suffering ceases. Thus it is said. If one's own jealousy is strong, then the remedy is to cultivate equality of self and others: just as I want happiness, other beings also want happiness; just as I do not want suffering, other beings also do not want suffering, therefore, cultivate equality of cherishing self and others. As it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: Equality of self and others, should be cultivated diligently from the very beginning, since happiness and suffering are the same, therefore, all should be protected like oneself. Thus it is said. If one's own pride is strong, then the remedy is to cultivate the exchange of self and others: childish beings cling to themselves and only think of themselves, therefore samsara is suffering; the Buddhas cherish others and only do things for the benefit of others, therefore they attain Buddhahood. As it is said: Children work for their own benefit, the Able One works for the benefit of others, one should see the difference between these two. Thus it is said. Therefore, one should know that clinging to oneself is a fault and abandon self-grasping; one should know that cherishing others is a virtue, and
