Thinking not to do it, it is to endure harm with the feeling of suffering. The idea of complete acceptance is: When I generate Bodhicitta, I will do it for the benefit of all sentient beings. Like this, completely accepting all sentient beings as wives, after completely accepting like this, thinking that it is not appropriate to retaliate against minor harms and endure. Second, the patience of accepting suffering is: For all the sufferings of achieving unsurpassed Bodhi, not feeling tired, but accepting with a joyful mind. It is also said in the Bodhisattvabhumi: To accept the eight sufferings such as the suffering caused by relying on a place. In fact, these are: After becoming a monk, the suffering of effort such as Dharma robes and begging; Offering and serving the Three Jewels and the Guru; Listening to the Dharma; Preaching the Dharma; Recitation and meditation; Not sleeping in the front and back parts of the night but diligently practicing yoga; For the benefit of sentient beings, doing those eleven things as before, etc., these are the sufferings arising from effort, namely fatigue, exhaustion, heat, cold, hunger, thirst, and mental disturbance, etc., not feeling tired of all these but accepting them. This is like accepting the pain of treating diseases such as bloodletting in order to calm the pain of severe diseases. Just as it is said in the Bodhisattvacharyavatara: These sufferings that I endure to achieve Bodhi are finite, just like enduring the pain of cutting the body in order to eliminate stinging, visceral damage and harm. Like this, accepting the suffering of the Dharma, thereby resisting the battlefield of Samsara and destroying the enemies of afflictions, is a great warrior. Ordinary people kill enemies who die naturally, although they are called warriors in the world, but it is not so, it is like hitting a corpse with a weapon. Just as it is said in the Bodhisattvacharyavatara: Overcoming all suffering, destroying enemies such as hatred, these people are victorious warriors, the rest are just killing corpses. Third, the love of firm faith in the Dharma is: It is said in the Bodhisattvabhumi: The merits of the Three Jewels and other eight places

It is said that this is faith. Furthermore, to have faith and patience in the essence of emptiness, which is the emptiness of the two selves. The way to increase patience is: to increase it through wisdom, knowledge, and dedication, as mentioned above. The way to purify patience is: to be possessed by emptiness and compassion, as mentioned above. The fruits of patience should be understood as two types: ultimate and temporary. The ultimate fruit is the attainment of unsurpassed Bodhi. As it is said in the Bodhisattva-bhumi: "Relying on these patiences, which are vast and immeasurable, and from which the great fruit of Bodhi arises, the Bodhisattva will attain unsurpassed and perfectly complete enlightenment." The temporary fruit is that, even without specifically focusing on it, one will obtain beautiful form, freedom from illness, fame, longevity, and the dominion of a Chakravartin king in all lifetimes. As it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: "Through patience, cycles and life become beautiful, and through freedom from illness and fame, one obtains extremely long life and the prosperity of a Chakravartin." The fourteenth chapter, the Perfection of Patience, from the Precious Ornament of Liberation, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel of the Sacred Dharma, is complete. Next is the Perfection of Diligence. Summary: Through contemplating the two aspects of faults and merits, as well as the essence, divisions, individual characteristics, increase and purification, and the fruit, the Perfection of Diligence is summarized in seven points. As stated above. First, explaining the first aspect. Even if one possesses qualities such as generosity, if one lacks diligence, one is lazy. If there is laziness, virtuous deeds will not be accomplished, one cannot benefit others, and one will not attain Bodhi. As it is said in the Sutra Requested by Sagaramati: "For the lazy, there is nothing from generosity to wisdom. For the lazy, there is no activity to benefit others. For the lazy, Bodhi is extremely distant and very far away." Conversely, if one possesses diligence, all white qualities will not diminish but will increase. As it is said in the Compendium Sutra: "Through diligence, white qualities will not diminish, and boundless wisdom is the treasure of the victorious ones."
