Done. Accumulate excellent collections of merit and wisdom. The non-conceptual wisdom regarding the Dharma, for the sake of arising, that is considered supreme. Thus it is said, arising from the distinctions of scripture, practice, and realization. The object of taking the mind of enlightenment is twofold: the custom of having a teacher and the custom of not having a teacher. If there is no obstacle to life or celibacy in going to that teacher, even if the distance is far, there is a teacher. Therefore, go to that teacher and take it at that object. The characteristics of a teacher are: being skilled in the ritual of bestowing vows, having oneself obtained vows and abiding without deterioration, being able to understand the meaning of bodily and verbal actions, and cherishing disciples with compassion without indulging in material things. Thus, in the "Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment," it is said: "One who possesses genuine qualities, takes vows from a good teacher, is skilled in the ritual of vows, and one's own self abides in vows, is able to bestow vows and possesses compassion, should be known as a good teacher." Also, in the "Bodhisattva Grounds," it is said: "For the sake of generating the aspiration of a Bodhisattva, being in accordance with the Dharma, having taken vows, being skilled, being able to understand the meaning of verbal expression, and being able to comprehend." Such a teacher, even if residing nearby, if there is an obstacle to life or celibacy in going to him, is called having no teacher. In front of the image of the Tathagata, reciting the words of taking the aspiration and engagement three times from the depths of one's heart, one will obtain that aspiration or engagement. Thus, in the "Bodhisattva Grounds," it is said: "If there is no person possessing those qualities, the Bodhisattva should take the vows of a Bodhisattva's discipline properly in front of the image of the Tathagata." If neither a teacher nor an image is found, then visualize the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the sky in front, and reciting the words of aspiration or engagement three times, one will obtain it. Thus, in the "Compendium of Trainings," it is said: "Again, if there is no such spiritual friend, then visualize the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions,

It is said that one should take it by combining it with one's own strength. The ritual for taking the mind of enlightenment is that, in the oral instructions transmitted by wise lamas, many different methods appear. Although they appear in this way, here one should know the tradition of the teacher Shantideva, which was transmitted from the noble Manjushri to the teacher Nagarjuna, and the tradition of the master Serlingpa, which was transmitted from the noble Maitreya to the teacher Asanga. Among these, according to the tradition of the teacher Shantideva, which was transmitted from the noble Manjushri to the teacher Nagarjuna, there are three: the preliminary ritual, the main ritual, and the concluding ritual. The first has six aspects: offering, confessing sins, rejoicing in virtue, urging to turn the wheel of Dharma, requesting not to pass into nirvana, and dedicating the root of virtue. Among these, the first, offering, should be understood as having two aspects: the object and the offering. The object is said to be the offering to those who are manifestly present and the offering to those who are not manifestly present, both having equal merit. Therefore, all that is manifest and not manifest are made the object of offering. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Those who have excellence and mind, in order to perfect the two accumulations, offer to the Buddhas robes and so on, manifestly and not manifestly." Thus it is said. Offerings are also of two kinds: superior offerings and unsurpassed offerings. The first is of two kinds: material offerings and practice offerings. The first is: the offering of prostrations, the offering of praise, the offering of arranging objects in order, the offering of excellent objects not possessed by the owner, the offering of mentally created objects, and the offering of giving away the body. These should be known in detail. The practice offering is: meditating on the great seal of the deity's body, and offering with the splendor arising from the samadhi of the bodhisattvas. The unsurpassed offering is: the offering with focus and the offering without focus. Among these, the first is cultivating the mind of enlightenment, as it is said: "After the wise cultivate the mind of enlightenment, to the victors and their retinue,"
