Ceases. It is very narrow, a dense darkness. Having entered into a state like a fetal hell, the entire body is destroyed, and one must remain in great suffering. Thus it is said. If one believes this, who could bear to enter the womb again? The suffering of aging is also immeasurable, in short, there are ten. That is, the body completely changes, the hair completely changes, the skin completely changes, the color completely changes, the strength completely changes, the splendor completely changes, the merit completely changes, the absence of illness completely changes, the mind completely changes, and the temporary cessation and the end of life. Among these, the complete change of the body is that the previous body, which was upright, stable, and hard, changes, becoming hunched over and crooked, requiring support with a cane. The complete change of hair is that the previous hair, which was black and thick, like the color of a bee, changes, becoming white and bald, and so on. The complete change of skin is that the previous skin was thin and soft. Like the fine cloth of Varanasi, or the silk of China, it changes, becoming thick and rough, full of wrinkles, like a copper ring. The complete change of color is that the previous color was bright and lustrous, like a newly opened lotus flower, it changes, becoming bluish and grayish, like an old flower. The complete change of strength is that the previous ability and enthusiasm disappear, the body's strength declines, and one cannot do any difficult things. The strength of the mind weakens, and one has little interest in anything. The power of the senses is exhausted, and one cannot grasp objects, or grasps other objects. The complete change of splendor is that the previous praise and respect from others changes, and one is even despised by those inferior to oneself. Even useless people do not like you in their hearts. Children see you as a monster, and you become a burden to your sons. The complete change of merit is that the previous enjoyment and food are all reduced, the body does not feel warmth, and the mouth does not taste delicious. Especially one desires to eat what is not there, and those who seek and those who give are very few.

Ka! It is impossible to become completely free from illness, because the greatest disease is old age, which brings about all other diseases, causing suffering. Completely changing the mind means that everything said and done is immediately forgotten, becoming confused and mistaken. Temporarily passing away, with life coming to an end, means that breathing becomes labored, producing a rough sound, and all compounded things approach death due to old age. As it is said in the 'Extensive Play Sutra': Old age makes a beautiful form ugly, old age steals glory and diminishes strength, old age steals happiness and brings suffering, old age brings death, and old age also steals radiance. The suffering of being sick is also immeasurable; in short, there are seven. These are the suffering of being afflicted by severe pain, the suffering of undergoing harsh treatments, the suffering of relying on hot medicines, the suffering of being unable to satisfy desires for food and drink, the suffering of considering the doctor's feelings, the suffering of running out of resources, and the suffering of fearing death. As it is said in the 'Extensive Play Sutra': Countless diseases and the suffering of disease afflict beings, like pretas among humans. The suffering of death is also immeasurable. In the 'Advice to the King Sutra,' it says: Great King! Similarly, being pierced by the arrow of the Lord of Death, separated from wealth, without refuge, without protection, without relatives, tormented by illness, thirsty, with a changing complexion, trembling hands and feet, unable to work, with saliva, mucus, urine, and vomit covering the body, uttering rough sounds, abandoned by doctors, lying on a simple bed, the continuation of samsara ends, terrified by the messengers of Yama, breathing ceases, mouth and nose are blocked, abandoning this world, going to another world, being carried on a bier, entering great darkness, falling into a great abyss, being carried away by the great ocean, being blown by the wind of karma, going to a direction without a foothold, property cannot be divided, saying "Alas, mother! Alas, father! Alas, child!" At that time, Great King, apart from the Dharma, there is no refuge, no protection, no relatives.
