If one does not truly recognize the two non-concepts, but merely fabricates and grasps them with the mind, there is no difference. Previously, because one did not recognize concepts, it did not become meditation and was ignorance. Now, if one recognizes them, then the concept itself is meditation, and awareness is wisdom. Now, place the root of meditation on concepts. Previously, the concept itself obscured itself, so it was not seen. There is no special excellence in meditating on non-conceptuality; now that one knows how to meditate on concepts, one should recognize whatever concept arises. If no concept arises, rest in the state of non-arising without fabrication. If it arises, rest in the state of arising without trying to gather it in. Do not have any thoughts of hope or fear, and place the essence of meditation on the concept itself. The concept does not go beyond the mind. The mind is self-liberated, its essence is clear, empty, and naked, it is the Dharmakaya, free from the agent and act of liberation. To realize this is to give rise to vipassanā (insight) on concepts, and thus to recognize the union of clarity and emptiness as the Dharmakaya. In short, recognize whatever arises, and rest upon it without alteration or distraction, and cultivate it. This is the second main introduction to reality; it is not enough to merely recognize it, one must continuously cultivate it, which is the sixth point. The third introduction is the inseparability of appearance and mind, introduced from the side of appearance: When looking at any of the five external sense objects, etc., there is not even a subtle sense of the object being 'over there'; the object is unobstructed and open. The mind that observes it also dissolves without grasping. These two are neither one nor different, and there is not even a thought that they do not exist. The two, body and mind, are also neither one nor different, but are inseparable, clear and empty, the union of appearance and emptiness, like the moon in water. Sensations such as heat and cold, because one does not recognize that appearance is empty appearance, are fabricated and grasped by the mind, endlessly. In reality, neither body nor mind can perceive them; they rest in a state free from any basis of imputation. Whatever appearance arises, observe and focus on it. Then, relax slightly. At first, the details of the object will become clear, and then one will feel a slight aversion to looking, nausea, blurred vision. This is the action of self-liberation. Then, after looking for a while, a clear, ungrasping appearance will arise; this is the action of returning to one's own nature. At that time, oneself and appearance

If appearance and emptiness are inseparable, and it abides emptily in no-place, then, this is the self-appearance of reality, or the nature of mind, therefore, there is no difference between the appearance of external objects and the inner mind. The self-luminous radiance of the mind appears uninterruptedly. Because the appearance is grasped as an object, the grasping consciousness also appears as confusion. At that time, it did not go elsewhere, but the mind itself was confused and appeared. Therefore, apart from the mind's appearance, there is not even a little bit of appearance or objects established elsewhere. Previously, it was obscured by ignorance or conceptual clinging and was not seen. The continuum of ego-grasping thoughts is cut off, and self-recognition occurs in no-place. Without clinging to appearances, empty and clear, in the empty and clear appearance in no-place, appearance and appearance arise together, which is called the clear light of the Dharmakaya. Now, cultivate without fabrication, let the six senses run wild, and cultivate on the basis of appearance. In that state, awareness is relaxed and naked, and rests on the original state without modification. That is, comfortable, clear, empty, and good, without deliberately pursuing, not regretting the past, not thinking about the future, not fabricating the present, not meditating artificially, not analyzing whether it is right or wrong, let the mind relax naturally, without effort, without forcing, and rest in the state of the mind's own nature. Abide in the state of appearance and emptiness inseparable, sound and emptiness inseparable, bliss and emptiness inseparable, awareness and emptiness inseparable, and clarity and emptiness inseparable. In this way, appearance and emptiness are inseparable, appearance is uninterrupted, there is no clinging, and direct realization occurs, which is the arising of insight on appearance, therefore, this is the union of appearance and emptiness, recognizing the Dharmakaya. Relying on continuous cultivation, excellent realization arises, which is recognition from appearance, that is, the third recognition, therefore, cultivate and seven in this way. Again, observe whether the abiding and moving are one or different, and then recognize. When observing whether the abiding and moving are one or different, recognize from the two that conceptual thought is cultivation, and the two, abiding and moving, appear in a rotating manner as inseparable, abiding without moving, and moving without abiding, the one who can do these is the only mind, and the nature of the two does not go beyond clear emptiness and nakedness. It is also not seeing clear emptiness and nakedness by retracting conceptual thoughts. It is the trace of the disappearance of recollection and conceptual thought.
