experiencing the ripening, which is because of engaging in virtuous and non-virtuous actions separately. As it says in the "Questions of Deshe Sutra": "From hot seeds, hot fruits will arise. From sweet seeds, sweet fruits will arise. By this example, the wise should know that the ripening of sins is hot, and the ripening of white deeds is sweet." Also, as it says in the "Mindfulness Sutra": "Fire may become cold, wind may be bound by ropes, the sun and moon may fall to the ground, but the ripening of karma can never deceive." Thus it is said. The fourth common objective. Generally, karma has four types: that which is experienced in this life, that which is experienced in the next life, that which is experienced many times, and that which is not certain to be experienced. The first refers to the difference between the field and intention, like the ripening of the fruit of that karma in this life. The second refers to the five inexpiable sins and the near five inexpiable sins. That is, the fruit arises in future lives, etc. The third is as stated in the "Hundred Karmas Sutra": "The actions of sentient beings, even after a hundred eons, will not be lost. When the causes and conditions come together, the fruit will surely manifest itself." The fourth refers to the karma in the continuum of an Arhat. Alternatively, there are three types: meritorious karma, non-meritorious karma, and unwavering karma. The first refers to the virtuous karma of the desire realm. The second refers to non-virtuous karma. The third refers to the virtuous karma of the upper two realms. Alternatively, there are four types: purely white karma, purely black karma, mixed karma, and karma that exhausts the ripening. The first refers to the virtuous karma of the upper realms. The second refers to the non-virtuous karma of the desire realm. The third refers to the virtuous karma of the desire realm. The fourth refers to uncontaminated karma, because it produces mixed ripening results such as pleasant and unpleasant, and uncontaminated karma causes the previous karmas to be exhausted. Alternatively, there are four types, such as the intention being virtuous but the action being evil. The first is like the great compassionate merchant leader killing the deceitful merchant. The second is like giving alms for the sake of killing. The third is like giving alms with a pure intention. The fourth is like killing for the sake of eating meat. Or it is divided into karma that experiences pleasure, pain, and equanimity.

There are three types. The first is virtuous actions from the desire realm up to the third dhyana. The second is virtuous actions of the desire realm. The third is virtuous actions of the fourth dhyana and above. Alternatively, with respect to projecting and completing, there are four possibilities. The first is when both are virtuous, such as the happiness of beings with a basis in the happy realms. The second is suffering with a basis in the unfortunate realms. The third is when the projecting is virtuous but the completing is non-virtuous, which is suffering with a basis in the happy realms. The fourth is happiness with a basis in the unfortunate realms. Alternatively, there are three types of actions: virtuous actions, non-virtuous actions, and neutral actions. The first type has two The difference between obscured and unobscured is based on whether or not there are afflictions, with neutral as the basis. Unobscured neutral can be divided into four: born from maturation, deportment, craftsmanship, and emanation mind. Also, actions can be divided into common and uncommon. The first is like the actions that create the outer world. The second is like the actions that create sentient beings. The detailed meaning of these and the clear explanations of the texts should be practiced as they are explained in detail in the chapter on actions in the Abhidharmakosha, the Hundred Deeds Sutra, the Ratnavali, and so on. Therefore, one should not confuse what to adopt and abandon with respect to virtue and non-virtue, and one should diligently engage in virtuous practices without leaving the three doors of body, speech, and mind in a neutral state. One should always examine one's own three doors. One should cultivate joy in virtuous deeds and not waste them. One should confess non-virtuous deeds through the four powers and confess properly. Just as a small spark can burn down a forest, virtuous deeds can destroy a mountain of sins, and one should engage in them with joy. As it says in the Compendium: Even by doing small meritorious deeds, one leads to great bliss in the next world.
