Whatever faults arise from distraction, if they cannot be corrected through meditation, then draw a picture of artificial fabrication, and understand the two (samsara and nirvana) as equal, and cut off the thoughts of desire, so that the faults can be eliminated. Therefore, without deviating from the nature, development, antidote, and path, one should remain equally in the self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished, equality, and great bliss. Then, is this emptiness of the four deviations, the meditation of artificial fabrication, not suitable in all cases? It is not so. For beginners, if they do not meditate on "all dharmas are empty and peaceful by their very nature" through artificial fabrication, then children will not be able to enter because they are extremely afraid of emptiness. Therefore, it is not contradictory to guide them with methods through the order of scriptures and reasoning, and then meditate. Similarly, for those who practice the antidote to karma and afflictions, and use it as a path, and for those with elaboration, they can also meditate by developing into non-elaboration, thereby gradually making them accustomed to it, but ultimately it should be abandoned. Therefore, the object of meditation for beginners and the object of meditation for those with श्रेष्ठ faculties are different in the beginning, just as the food of an adult is not suitable for a small child. In short, it is very important to meditate according to the level of one's intelligence. Ultimately, if one does not deviate from the four deviations and directly realizes the true nature of the view without distortion, then it will become the श्रेष्ठ liberation. These are the methods of cutting off the four deviations of view and attaining liberation, which is the liberation of vipassanā. If elaborated, these four deviations are done separately, so there are eight dharma classes here. In short, it is also permissible to combine the four deviations into one here. Then there is the method of cutting off the wrong paths of meditation and attaining liberation: Among the three states of experience of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, if the experience of bliss is dominant, and without distinguishing between contaminated and uncontaminated bliss, one generally observes this bliss with wisdom. 1. If one clings to this bliss and meditates, then one will fall into the desire realm, because one is bound by the desire of the desire realm. Even if one falls due to clinging, one will not fall from the twenty abodes of the desire realm into the ten abodes of the lower realms. 2. Similarly, if one clings to the experience of clarity, one will also fall into the seventeen abodes of the form realm. 3. Similarly, if one clings to non-thought, one will also fall into the formless realm.

4. Similarly, if one falls into the four formless realms, because all dharmas are devoid of color, shape, boundary, and center, like space, if one examines with wisdom that all dharmas are like space, and clings to this, then one will fall into the realm of infinite space. 5. Furthermore, as it is said, "O sons of the Victorious Ones, these three realms are mind-only." Therefore, if one thinks that all dharmas are merely consciousness or mind, and clings to this alone as truly real, then one will be born in the realm of infinite consciousness. 6. Likewise, if one thinks that nothing exists and clings to that, one will fall into the realm of nothingness. 7. If one thinks that it is neither existent nor non-existent, and clings to that, holding it as supreme, then one will be born in the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. 8. Therefore, regarding these (four formless absorptions), whichever experience of bliss, clarity, or non-conceptuality is stronger, or even if they are equal, one should be free from savoring and clinging to them, and eliminate (these obstacles) by seeing one's own face. 9. Furthermore, if one lacks skillful means such as great compassion and clings only to emptiness, one will fall into the Lesser Vehicle, and that must be abandoned. For it is said in the scriptures: "Going to hell is not a permanent obstacle to enlightenment, but the Hearers and Solitary Realizers are permanent obstacles to attaining enlightenment." Therefore, through skillful means, cultivating loving-kindness, great compassion, and the mind of enlightenment, one can eliminate that. 10. Moreover, if one enhances the benefit of skillful means with wisdom, then virtuous deeds such as generosity, if not grasped by the wisdom that does not fixate on the three spheres, will not transform into uncontaminated virtue, so it must be grasped by it. 11. Similarly, if one possesses the perfection of wisdom with skillful means, it is called enhancing the benefit of wisdom with skillful means. 12. Clinging to mere emptiness also leads to falling into the Lesser Vehicle, and great works for the benefit of others will not arise, and relying solely on compassion will not accomplish vast benefit for others, therefore emptiness and compassion must be united, and one should enhance the benefit of one with the other. 13. Single-pointed concentration (shamatha) without higher insight (vipashyana) is merely a worldly path, but if higher insight arises, one enters the path of liberation, therefore one should generate the wisdom of higher insight in one's being, and enhance the benefit of single-pointed concentration with higher insight. 14. Furthermore, without single-pointed concentration, the power of higher insight will not be perfected, and qualities such as clairvoyance and miraculous powers
