It is called the inseparability of place and insight. It is called manifesting the nature of reality. It is called the self-liberation of characteristics in their own place. This is not realized through great learning, not realized through great wisdom, not realized through coarse discrimination, not realized through skillful instructions, not realized through forceful doors and diligent practice, not realized through grammar and skillful means. In short, it is not realized through any trivial matter. As the Tantra says: "It is not found anywhere." So, if it is not realized through all of this, what should be done? It is through the blessing of the realized lama that one individually knows it oneself and it arises from within, therefore it depends solely on blessing. As the Tantra says: "This self-knowing wisdom, is beyond the realm of speech, this is the sequence of blessings, such is the all-knowing wisdom." And as Dagpo Rinpoche said: "Become accustomed to looking at your own mind. When you become accustomed to looking at your own mind, if you do not fall into the duality of object and mind, then experience non-dual wisdom. This is showing the difference of means, this is showing the time of attainment." And: "That meditation that does not separate from dualistic grasping, although experienced, does not see the meaning. That view without realization, although called freedom from extremes, is made by the mind." And as the Compendium says: "Beings often say in words that they see the sky, consider how the sky is seen. Likewise, seeing the Dharma is also taught by the Thus-Gone One, but a metaphor for seeing cannot be expressed." And as the Sutra of the Origin of Discipline says: "If mind-born is shown as mind, then the nature of beings is also like that, like space abiding perfectly in space, like clear crystal or jewel. Form without beginning or end, free from elaboration, not the object of the senses, unchanging and without appearance, all empty, without afflictions." And as the Root Wisdom says: "To say 'exists' is to see permanence, to say 'does not exist' is to see annihilation, therefore the wise do not abide in existence or non-existence." And: "That which arises dependently" etc. Existence and non-existence are extremes, emptiness and non-emptiness are also extremes. Thus, having abandoned both extremes, the wise do not abide even in the middle.

Thus it is said, just as looking at the center of the sky, vision ceases. Likewise, if the mind looks at the mind, the collection of discursive thoughts ceases, and one attains unsurpassed enlightenment. Thus it is said, in whatever world system, one will not find another Buddha. The mind is the complete Buddha. Thus and so forth, as it is said in all the sutras, tantras, and pith instructions. Lesson fifty-eight. Third, regarding the subsequent meaning, the manner of cultivating skill and increasing strength after experiencing the self-nature introduced by the lama. It is divided into four parts: removing obstacles, the manner of progressing on the path, and the manner of manifesting the fruit. Among them, in the first part, there are various ways to increase strength. Among them, increasing strength by eliminating the five wrong conceptions. The method of eliminating wrong conceptions about objects is: in reality, it is not right to cling to the three poisons and other non-virtuous things as things to be abandoned, and to cling to generosity and other virtuous things as things to be taken or obtained. Because according to this system, the five poisons must be taken as the path. Moreover, in the meaning of the state of the Great Seal, there is absolutely no establishment in truth that this and this are to be abandoned and this and this are to be taken. Therefore, those who diligently practice the profound meaning should abandon clinging to anything as something to be abandoned or taken, and should abandon the mind of clinging tightly to what is to be accomplished. As it is said: Even if you offer a million offerings to the gods, what good is it? It will bind yourself. As such, it appears endlessly, so one should not become attached to it with clinging. However, one must not despise the cause and effect of karma without attachment or clinging. In short, all dualistic dharmas such as samsara, nirvana, virtue, vice, what to abandon, what to take, etc., By making them of one taste in the non-dual wisdom, one will be able to eliminate wrong conceptions about objects. Lesson fifty-nine. Eliminating wrong conceptions about time and increasing strength. It is not right to think that one will manifest enlightenment at this time, or to want to pass through countless eons, etc. Because for the person who hits the key point of the Great Seal, it is necessary to realize the equality of the three times. The distinction between past, future, and present is merely something fabricated by ignorant children. Because the past is not established as the past, because the present of its previous moment has also become the future. Likewise, the present and the future
