All phenomena of samsara and nirvana are, in the very moment of their appearance, the great emptiness in which nothing is established. Without moving from that very emptiness, the unobstructed play manifests in various ways, and this spontaneously accomplished inseparability of appearance and emptiness is called the emptiness that possesses all supreme qualities. It is not permissible to focus solely on the aspect of emptiness; therefore, one must realize the reality of spontaneous accomplishment and union. If one says that only pure things can be called spontaneously accomplished, and impure appearances cannot be called spontaneously accomplished, that is because one has fallen into the mind of grasping at good and bad, superior and inferior, and is therefore impure. Therefore, as the intention of all sutras and tantras is one, the essence of the meaning is that all phenomena included in samsara and nirvana do not move from emptiness alone, yet the unobstructed play of energy manifests spontaneously. As it is taught, one should practice in this way, and for that reason, whatever is spontaneously accomplished is ultimately pure, and is called great liberation. Fifty-sixth Dharma session, forty-fourth aim. Fourth, introducing spontaneous self-liberation: Furthermore, the three, appearance, awareness, and emptiness, are from the beginning spontaneously accomplished as the union of clarity and emptiness. The reality of this is that all phenomena included in samsara and nirvana are of equal taste. This state of the nature of things is such that there is nothing to eliminate in terms of faults, and nothing to accomplish in terms of qualities. The great primordial enlightenment is without any addition or subtraction, acceptance or rejection. One must directly realize the reality of the ultimate dimension that is not inverted. Thus, because of the meaning of not accepting or rejecting, it is called self-liberation, the great self-liberation that does not depend on other antidotes. Since the signs of hope and fear are liberated in their own place, please manifest the essence of the meaning. As it is said: The cause of what binds, That is the path of liberation. Here there is no binding, Whatever is binding is liberation. Thus, the method of finding the unsurpassed Buddha in one's own mind is a pure introduction of the oral instructions. By realizing it in a non-inverted way, one will attain the pure wisdom of insight. Here, realizing the nature of insight is the view of the ultimate reality that is not inverted.
