Being sustained by the four lamas and the holy lama is the self-born condition. Thinking of practicing like this, not being confused about the object of meditation, merely establishing it in the mind is the object condition. Being separated from the characteristics of what is meditated upon, the meditator, hope, doubt, etc., the mind naturally abiding in the meaning of non-conceptual great wisdom is the immediate condition. In the moment when these four are gathered, meditation and the actual special realization will arise, therefore one should practice in that way. This is a special preliminary practice, called the four kinds of accomplishment conditions. Nineteenth Dharma talk. Eighteenth object of meditation. Second, the method of entering the main practice, there are two: calm abiding and insight. The first also has common and special. The first has body key points and mind key points. The first is, the body establishes the seven dharmas of Vairochana. The seven dharmas are: legs in vajra posture. Hands in equal mudra, placed four fingers below the navel, elbows straight without bending. Arms stretched out like the wings of an eagle. Neck like an iron hook, chin pressing against the Adam's apple to bend. Spine straight like an arrow. Eyes fixed on the sky four fingers below the tip of the nose, eyelids not blinking, not squinting, not swaying. Lips slightly closed, with a slight gap between the teeth. Tongue touching the upper palate, sitting on a comfortable cushion. As it is said in the Vajra Garland Tantra: The practitioner sits on a comfortable cushion, the eyes fixed on the tip of the nose, keep the extent that the nose is visible. Shoulders and arms level, tongue touching the palate. Teeth and lips placed comfortably. Relax the inhalation and exhalation of breath, slightly away from fabrication. Vajra posture is well established, like this with mudra. As it is said. And one should be free from three faults. The posture of the four elements of the body is, comfortable, spacious, and relaxed, these three. As it is said. The necessity of this arrangement is, as it is said in Hevajra: Great wisdom dwells in the body, completely abandon all thoughts, the one who pervades all things, the body dwells in what is not born from the body. As it is said. Je Dusum Khyenpa (1110-1193) (the first Karmapa) also said: Looking at the mountain over there shows from the mountain over here, wanting emptiness then determine appearance, wanting the mind to abide then bind the body with the illusion wheel. And so on, countless sayings, therefore the dependent body illusion wheel

If bound by a fence, the dependent, the conceptual thoughts of the mind will not arise, and those that arise will naturally cease. For example, if a lock is placed on the door of a house, the dependent, people will have nowhere to go. In this way, when the mind merges into non-discrimination, the superior insight of innate wisdom will also be realized. In order to see it, the mind needs to abide. In order to make the mind abide, the body needs to be restrained by the illusory wheel. Because the nominal vehicle cannot determine the innate wisdom in one continuum, it is not possible to become a Buddha in one lifetime and one body, and it takes a long time. The Sambhuti Tantra says: "Eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, with their rituals, cannot know the true nature of the body, all of these have no result." The Vinaya also says: Five hundred non-Buddhist hermits, a monkey who saw a solitary Buddha, by showing the key points of the body, obtained the five superknowledges, and also obtained the story of self-born Bodhi. Many oral instructions also say: If the body is upright, the channels are upright; if the channels are upright, the wind is upright; if the channels and wind are tightened at the key points, the mind can be controlled. If you meditate with a crooked body, no matter what you do, you cannot control the mind. The horse of conceptual thought is wind. If the wind flows properly and is controlled, the mind can be controlled. Generally speaking, the mind controlling the wind and the wind controlling the mind are the views of the great Brahmin and Naropa. The first is that the mind abides without being changed, and all scattered thoughts naturally subside, which is the mind controlling the wind. The second is to visualize the guru on the crown of the head, pray for blessings so that Samadhi arises in the continuum, and then merge into oneself. Visualize exhaling all the bad breath from the nostrils, and through the Buddha's breath, diseases, demons, and all conceptual thoughts are scattered outwards, then tighten the upper breath, and the lower breath naturally abides. Focus on the front and maintain your own state, and the mind cannot but be controlled. This is the wind controlling the mind. This is also the meaning of enlightenment arising in the mind by establishing dependent origination on the body. See the twentieth Dharma talk and the nineteenth goal for details. If it is brief, these are not needed. Furthermore, the necessity of arranging the key points of the body properly is: Sitting in the lotus position with the legs, can make the downward-clearing wind
