It is said, 'Unstable.' Therefore, generate regret with three reasons and confess before a special object. This is like requesting a powerful person to repay an unpaid debt. The second power is: practicing virtue as an antidote to sin. That is, even a single virtue can destroy many sins. The Nirvana Sutra says: 'Even doing one good deed can destroy many sins.' The Golden Light Sutra says: 'Whoever in thousands of kalpas commits extremely terrible sins, by thoroughly confessing once, all those sins will be purified.' This is like being stained by unclean things, then bathing and applying fragrance. The third power is: fearing the ripening of karma, henceforth cutting off the continuation of sin and restraining it. 'O guides, please accept my sins and errors. This is not a good deed, and I will not do it again in the future.' This is like changing the direction of a stream of water. The fourth power is: taking refuge in the Three Jewels and generating the mind of enlightenment. In the Tale of the Pig Woman, it is said: 'Those who have gone for refuge to the Buddha will not fall into the lower realms. After abandoning this human body, they will obtain the body of a god.' The Bodhisattvacharyavatara says: 'Even if one has committed extremely terrible sins, one can rely on courage to be liberated from great fear. Relying on it, one can be liberated in an instant. Why do the wise not rely on it?' This is like a timid person grabbing the feet of a king, or casting a mantra on poison. Therefore, in the past, Angulimala, who killed nine hundred and ninety-nine people, Bhadrakara who did not kill his mother, Nanda who was attached to women, and Ajatashatru who killed his father, etc., also relied on each of these four powers to purify their sins and attain the fruits of Arhat and Stream-enterer, etc. As it is said in the sutra: 'Whoever was previously heedless, but later becomes diligent, is as beautiful as the moon free from clouds, like Nanda, Angulimala, Ajatashatru, and Bhadrakara.' Tenth Dharma discourse, ninth objective. Then, among the four powers, relying on the supreme of all powers of application of remedies, the meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva.

Therefore, this is the method. First, in the ordinary state, on the crown of one's head, from the syllable "པཾ" (Tibetan, Devanagari pam, Romanized Sanskrit pam, Lotus) arises a white lotus, and upon the moon seat arising from the syllable "ཨ" (Tibetan, Devanagari a, Romanized Sanskrit a, None), from the syllable "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit hūṃ, Hūṃ) arises a white five-pronged vajra, marked in the center with the syllable "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit hūṃ, Hūṃ), from which rays of light emanate, benefiting all worthy of offering, then the light retracts and completely transforms, its essence being one's own root guru, while its form is the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, body color white, one face, two arms. The right hand holds a five-pronged vajra, holding it in a gesture pointing towards the heart; the left hand holds a bell made with a vajra handle in an elegant posture, resting on the hip. The legs are seated in the bodhisattva posture. Adorned with various divine silk upper and lower garments. The hair on the head is tied up in the form of a topknot, with the lineage lord, the guru Akshobhya, adorning the top of the topknot, adorned with all ornaments made of various jewels, such as headdresses, earrings, necklaces, armlets, bracelets, anklets, belts, and garlands. Possessing the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, radiating immeasurable light, appearing but without inherent existence, clear like a reflection in a mirror. In his heart, on top of a moon mandala, is a white "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit hūṃ, Hūṃ) syllable. Around it are the mantras "ༀ་བཛྲ་ས་ཏྭ་ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ, Om Vajrasattva Hūṃ), and from "ༀ་བཛྲ་ས་ཏྭ་ས་མ་ཡ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari oṃ vajrasattva samaya, Romanized Sanskrit oṃ vajrasattva samaya, Om Vajrasattva Samaya) to "ས་ཏྭ་ཨཱཿ" (Tibetan, Devanagari sattva āḥ, Romanized Sanskrit sattva āḥ, Sattva Āḥ), all the mantras, like a string of white pearls, circling clockwise. From these mantras, light radiates, inviting all the holy beings of the gurus, yidams, buddhas, bodhisattvas, heroes, dakinis, dharma protectors, and guardians of the ten directions and three times, dissolving into the Vajrasattva on the crown of the head, visualizing him as the embodiment of all refuge objects. In the mouth, pray to the guru Vajrasattva, for oneself and all beings equal to the extent of space, please purify and cleanse all accumulations of sins, obscurations, misdeeds, and broken vows. After praying in this way, from the seed syllable, mantra garland, and moon in the heart of the guru Vajrasattva, a stream of wisdom nectar and droplets descend, filling the entire body, becoming white and bright, and the remaining nectar flows continuously from the big toe of the right foot, as if the stopper of a wine jar has been opened, entering from one's own sexual organ. All the sins, obscurations, diseases, evil spirits, and broken vows accumulated from beginningless samsara
