If the practitioner's intellect is weak, then regarding the nature of the previously mentioned conceptualization, appearance, and meditation, as well as the meditator and the awareness of the three times (past, present, future), separate them individually and contemplate them for many days, making sure to gain a definite understanding. This is very important. Fourth, after that, abandon the minds of what is to be meditated upon, the one who meditates, what is to be experienced, the one who experiences, what is to be realized, and the one who realizes. Abandon all desires such as the attention of yes and no, and the desire to meditate, the desire to remember, etc. Even the thought of not thinking about anything should not be there, and the ordinary mind, without any artificiality, should be allowed to stay in whatever way is comfortable. Whatever conceptualizations and appearances arise naturally, do not try to modify or change them with the mind, but let them be. Do not follow after attention either. Do not consider it a fault if the mind is occasionally distracted, and do not analyze or investigate. Whenever you remember, return to the ordinary, unartificial state where there is nothing to meditate on, nothing to experience, and nothing to do. Eating, sleeping, and walking should also be done in a state of non-thought, and no other activities should be done. Except for reciting a little bit of torma and prayers, put aside all other virtuous activities and stop talking. When sleeping, also lie down naturally and without artificiality. In this way, for a few days, abandon all attention and let it stay naturally, and then observe the experience. When the clinging to good dissolves and the delusion of bad conceptualizations ceases, and thus you are certain that everything is the nature of meditation, then the ordinary mind, wherever it is, whatever appears, is without arising or ceasing, without abandoning or taking, without separation or attainment. Whether distracted or not distracted, whether remembering or not remembering, whether experiencing or not experiencing, whether realizing or not realizing, it is naturally pure, naturally liberated, and completely unobstructed. Recognize everything as the nature of meditation, the environment of meditation, and let it be free for about five days, and sometimes allow it to search for a non-meditative mind. Fifth, in this way, mix shamatha and vipassana (calm abiding and insight) with the environment of meditation. Even if there is occasional distraction in post-meditation (after emerging from samadhi), as long as the subsequent awareness and memory grasp it, it is enough to recognize that state. Similarly, it is best to mix the environment of the day with the night and bring it into sleep and dreams. If not, even if you are confused, it is enough to recognize that state immediately after waking up. Other than that, do not do anything with signs or attention, and continue for about five days. Then rest comfortably for about a day. Then, for about seven or ten days, alternate between meditation and rest, and let the realization of that state
