Because of clarity, not discriminating against the form realm becomes the cause of being born in the formless realm. Even without attachment, the meditation entangled by experience can only achieve the position of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and can only obtain rest from the suffering of evil destinies. It is difficult to be of any use in attaining the perfect enlightenment of Buddhahood. Furthermore, if wisdom is low and learning is little, one will deviate from guarding the original nature and rely on a certain aspect of meditation, or be attached to thick states, or have vague experiences, or the nature becomes dim. Therefore, some wrong paths may lead to rebirth in evil destinies, while others can only achieve the happiness of samsara. For example, it is like wanting to go east but going west or north, which is a mistake in direction. There are three types of experience: the experience of calm abiding, the experience of insight, and the self-experience of realization. The latter is not considered a wrong path, and the middle experience, if meditation is practiced directly without attachment, the experience will naturally be purified and improved. However, most people who focus on experience tend to become obstacles to practice and obscure reality. Therefore, breaking through experience through various methods and then meditating will be more effective. Fourth, to enhance by reciting "La" in the unborn has five aspects: the timing of reciting "La"; cutting off thoughts and appearances; cutting off the mind of the meditator and the meditation; directly reciting "La" in the unborn emptiness; and integrating the session and post-session, day and night. The first point is: when the practitioner is liberated from the thick experience of bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination, and the mind becomes clear and transparent, entering a meditation state like the clear and empty sky, or when the daytime appearance is more prominent, entering this state, and being able to immediately perceive when thoughts arise, thereby experiencing clear and empty clarity; or when one can immediately perceive in the appearance of the six consciousnesses, thereby experiencing the clear appearance of appearance and emptiness, and when a definite understanding arises regarding thoughts and appearances, then one can recite "La". If "La" is recited too early, experience will not arise, and only a boastful view based on understanding will arise. If it is too late, those with good fortune may fall into attachment to experience, thereby being liberated in experience, but some may develop strong attachment to good thoughts and definite understanding, leading to various ups and downs in practice. The second point is: in the common preliminaries and especially in Guru Yoga, with strong devotion and longing, visualize appearances and existence as the Dharmakaya.

Strive to cultivate meditation, and as previously explained, single-mindedly maintain the essential way of abiding, making the mind clear and distinguishing between essence and dross. In a state of non-distraction and wide-open clarity, without elaborating on numerous subtle and coarse thoughts, look at them without grasping, and observe what differences there are between the subtle and coarse thoughts. Observe what differences there are between them and the essence of the abiding mind. Similarly, observe various thoughts such as happiness, suffering, and the thoughts of the three poisons of affliction. Sometimes refute thoughts, sometimes generate many thoughts, sometimes trace them, and so on, doing various things to observe. Observe the beauty and ugliness, pleasantness and unpleasantness, subtlety and coarseness of external appearances. Through various bodily postures, and opening the eyes, smiling, looking to the right, looking to the left, and so on, allow various different ways of appearing to arise, and observe what differences there are between them. Observe what differences there are between them and the essence of the mind, let this be done for a few days, and when a decisive experience arises. As previously explained, clearly identify thoughts and appearances, thereby generating certainty. Third, it is not enough to merely think that the essence of meditation is unborn and unceasing, unfathomable, and beyond thought. In a state of non-distraction and wide-open clarity, without grasping, openly look at the essence of meditation, and repeatedly observe what it is like. Similarly, repeatedly observe the awareness of the meditator and the awareness that grasps at I and mine. Furthermore, what are the differences between the three minds of the past, future, and present? Where has the past mind gone? Where has the future mind come from? What is the present mind like? Observe these, and let this be done for a few days, cutting through elaborations. After a decisive experience arises, the object to be meditated upon, the meditator who meditates, and all the minds of the three times are actually of the same essence, appearing as anything, but not established anywhere, this very mind. This mind is also not defiled by all elaborations such as essence, identifiable place, abiding place, reliance, arising and ceasing, three places, and the distinctions of the three times. From the beginning, it is rootless and baseless, without delusion, without liberation, cannot be stained by faults, cannot be adorned by qualities, it is self-born and self-pure, incomparable, transparently clear, the very nature of openness. Having recognized this, let it abide naturally and relaxed for a few days without intentional grasping, thereby generating decisive certainty. If
