This is different from that, because that arises from maturation, while this arises from cultivation. If it is said that eyes and clairvoyance also arise during the path, then how are they established as the unique qualities of the Buddha? In the "Ornament of the Thought of Fearless Feet," it says: "How the path, at the stage of accumulation, and also in the states of mind of higher and higher levels, gradually arises, so with the distinctions of excellent and most excellent, the five eyes are each obtained, and also the six clairvoyances." And: "How are the eyes and six clairvoyances of the Buddha spoken of in the position of Bodhisattvas? In the eighth bhumi, the Bodhisattva obtains each of these two separately, while in the position of the Buddha, these are completely perfected and completely purified, becoming ultimate." As it is said, in the position of the Buddha, the eyes and clairvoyances are extremely pure and ultimate, that is, they function without obstruction in all realms, etc., by which it should be known as unique. Secondly, explaining the three: perfection, maturation, and purification. Thus, Bodhisattvas, abiding in higher intention, aspiration, and vast conduct, with great power such as eyes and clairvoyance, and immeasurable means, ripen all sentient beings, purify the Buddha-fields, perfect all the qualities of the Sugata, bring their aspirations to completion, and thus attain perfect enlightenment. Among these, the maturation of sentient beings, in the "Ornament of the Sutras," it says: First, the Bodhisattva himself must mature in the form of nine aspects of maturation, and at the end it says: "Like a wound and food, those of them, seeing and using, as desired to mature. Thus this basis, two sides pacified, and thus using, is shown as maturation itself. Maturation apart from objects, thus it is also, complete maturation, very ripe, consistently maturing others. Good maturation and, realization maturation and, sign maturation, where maturation is spoken." Etc., extensively explained. For example, just as a wound matures and can be healed, and food matures and can be eaten, so the beings to be tamed mature in abandoning what should be abandoned, being able to abandon it, and generating antidotes.

Then, when divided into subcategories, there are eight types, such as maturation from separation. These are not elaborated upon here. Regarding the purification of Buddha-fields, the *Samantabhadra's Aspiration Prayer* says, "Thus, in all directions and everywhere, are gathered the various adornments of the Buddha-fields of the Buddhas." It also says, "Upon a single atom are Buddha-fields as numerous as atoms." And, "The ocean of Buddha-fields is entirely purified." As it appears in the sutras, in order to comprehend and directly realize the wisdom of the nature of the immeasurable and limitless container world, one enters the ocean of Buddha-fields. Moreover, these Buddha-fields are accomplished through seven types of complete purification, namely, the seven complete purifications: common complete purification, likewise dominion, excellent enjoyment, sentient beings, cause, and result are all completely purified. These are not elaborated upon in detail; they should be understood from the *Ten Bhumi Sutra* and others. The fulfillment of the aspiration to accomplish the Dharmas of the Buddhas means that the ten types of aspirations mentioned in the sutras, each accompanied by countless hundreds of thousands of retinues, are completely fulfilled. At that time, the Dharmas of the Buddhas are completely perfected. The so-called Dharmas of the Buddhas are the realm of activity of the Buddhas themselves. Even the noble Bodhisattvas can only slightly manifest a portion of it and cannot fully express it. Therefore, it should not be measured with the intellect of a child. However, according to what is stated in the sutras and treatises, when summarized in terms of body, wisdom, qualities, and activities, regarding the body, there is the sole Dharmakaya, the two Dharmasambhogakayas, the three bodies when the Rupakaya is divided into two, adding the Svabhavikakaya makes four bodies, and the five bodies of the nature of the five wisdoms, and so on, up to various classifications that are inexpressible. Regarding wisdom, there are the two knowledges of 'knowing as it is' and 'knowing all there is,' and the five wisdoms such as mirror-like wisdom. Due to the differences in how many bodies appear and how many beings are to be tamed, it becomes immeasurable. Regarding qualities, there are the sixty-four qualities of separation and maturation, and endless differences similar to them. Regarding activities, starting from the two activities of spontaneously accomplished activity and continuous activity, up to immeasurable differences in activities, and so on.
