Homage to those who have passed away. From this arises the union, the boundless ones are most renowned. Therefore, the samadhi of the gods, the boundless ones truly arise. Mudras, mandalas, secret mantras, etc., yoga is purified from this. The two actions of pacifying and increasing, whatever else arises from mantra, like the number of sands in the Ganges River, however many subtle accomplishments, and other accomplishments of mudras, however many are renowned on earth, all arise from this yoga. It is said to be the vajra of the heart. As such, it should be known. Meditating on the wisdom of the inseparability of skillful means and wisdom is also the conduct of mantra. In the latter part of the Compendium it is said: Whatever faculties and objects, the mind that relies on and acts, this mind is called "Man." The letter "Tra" has the meaning of protection, from worldly conduct it is certain liberation, the vows and precepts that are spoken, by the protection of all vajras, are called the conduct of mantra. The meaning of this verse, Fearless Foot explains as: Whatever mind that acts through the faculties, etc., that is the nature of mind, called "Mana." From reading the root of the word "Mana is knowledge," the wisdom of emptiness is Mana. Abandoning its two obscurations, attaining the state of Samantabhadra, is the meaning of protection, the "Tra" that is not completely empty. The wisdom of the inseparability of emptiness and compassion, only praise, is its conduct. Thus it is said. This conduct is also the supreme of conduct, mantra, body and speech are pure, and only purity of mind is purity, therefore the conduct of mind is superior to other conducts, because it is true. Thus it is said. The fifth root chapter, aspiring for this path to reach the ultimate fruit: From the eyes and clairvoyance arising from the power of meditation, maturing sentient beings, purifying the Buddha-field, fulfilling the aspiration to accomplish the Dharma of all Buddhas, may the three, completion, maturation, and purification, reach the ultimate, may I attain Buddhahood. There are two in this, the actual and, incidentally, a brief explanation of the stages of the path. The first has two, explaining the eyes and clairvoyance, explaining the three, completion, maturation, and purification. The first is, thus the instructions completely

By practicing without regression, the ultimate fruit of hearing through the power of meditation is the complete and perfect enlightenment of all dharmas, the unsurpassed Samyaksambuddha. Moreover, it possesses the qualities of extremely pure eyes and superknowledges, and the three perfections of completion, maturation, and purification are brought to their ultimate conclusion. During the path, one must first generate superknowledges and then gradually bring the three perfections of completion, maturation, and purification to their ultimate conclusion. Therefore, at the beginning of the fruit, eyes and superknowledges are established. Among them, there are five eyes and six superknowledges. The five eyes are: the flesh eye, the divine eye, the wisdom eye, the dharma eye, and the Buddha eye. First, the sutra says: The flesh eye of a Bodhisattva can see a hundred yojanas, and so on, up to seeing the realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds. Second, the divine eyes of the gods from the realm of the Four Great Kings up to Akanistha are fully known by the Bodhisattva. However, the divine eye of the Bodhisattva is not fully known by those gods. It is said that the Bodhisattva's divine eye is particularly able to see the death and rebirth of all sentient beings in the ten directions. Third is the wisdom of realizing selflessness. Fourth, according to the view of the teacher Vasubandhu, it is the remaining nine of the ten powers, excluding the power of knowing what is possible and impossible. Fifth is the realization of the complete and perfect realization of all dharmas in all aspects. The six superknowledges are: magical powers, divine ear, knowing the minds of others, recollection of past lives, divine eye, and the exhaustion of defilements. Among them, the first is to display magical transformations; the second is to hear the sounds of infinite realms; the third is to know individually the state of mind of all sentient beings as it is; the fourth is to know the continuous rebirths of all sentient beings in their respective past and future; the fifth is to know the state of sentient beings' birth, death, karma, and consequences; the sixth is to know that all obscurations and hindrances do not abide by their own nature and are completely abandoned. Here, the divine eye mentioned is the one in the context of the five eyes.
