Therefore, do not think of the Buddha! Do not contemplate the Dharma! Do not make offerings to the Sangha! Do not take vows! Do not seek the quiescence of samsara! Do not cross the river! Such instructions as these should be taught and shown to newly initiated Bodhisattvas. Why is that? Because the nature of all dharmas is simply abiding. Those children will prophesy the dharma of arising and ceasing. This realm of dharma is distinguished by non-conceptualization, therefore, whatever truly realizes the nature of these dharmas, that is Bodhi. Having instructed in this way, if one is not afraid, not alarmed, and not terrified, then, Ah! Know that this Bodhisattva is irreversible, possessing the qualification of the irreversible ground, and repeatedly generate joy with this instruction. As it is said. Seeing such truth is also the arising of the wisdom of Mahamudra. In the "Two Examinations" it says: One's own wisdom of awareness, transcends the realm of speech, this is because of the order of blessings, such omniscient wisdom, earth, water, wind, fire, and space itself, the feeling of self and other awareness, cannot suppress all moments, the moments of heaven, human realm, and underground, in a moment, one form will change, the conceptual thoughts of self and other parts, suppressing itself is not powerful. Therefore, as soon as the wisdom of Mahamudra arises during the path, one realizes that all dharmas included in the dualistic grasping are of one nature, therefore all the elaborations of characteristics cannot disturb it. This is to explain this reason. Furthermore, some people think that the standard of seeing the nature of mind is recognizing conceptual thought, but that does not count as seeing the nature of mind, because essence and nature have the same meaning, and conceptual thought is not the nature or essence of mind, because conceptual thought is a sudden delusion. The third is, to show the need for the practice of the union of emptiness and compassion, first is to recognize compassion, and then how to unite it with emptiness. The first is, the nature of beings is always Buddha, but because of non-realization

I wander in endless samsara. May unbearable compassion arise in my mind for sentient beings who suffer without end. This is what is taught. In general, compassion is divided into three types: compassion focused on sentient beings, compassion focused on phenomena, and compassion without focus. The first two are to be practiced during the preliminary stages of this instruction tradition. After seeing the meaning of the way things are, unconditioned compassion arises, and the one that arises is "emptiness is the essence of compassion." Therefore, the compassion taught here is the latter. So, what is the nature of that? As explained above when explaining the meaning of the view, the nature of these beings is that they always abide in the essence of the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas, but only because they do not realize it, they wander in endless samsara and sink into the endless ocean of suffering. Unbearable and intense compassion arises continuously and effortlessly for these sentient beings. This also arises from seeing the meaning of the way things are. As it is said: "When a Bodhisattva is in meditative equipoise, and is perfected by the power of habituation, and is seized by the demon of grasping at reality, especially compassion arises." And as the teacher Nagarjuna said: "Thus, this emptiness, when practiced by yogis, the mind attached to the benefit of others, will arise without doubt." Therefore, Bodhisattvas rely on such compassion and only accomplish the benefit of others. Therefore, they take all beings into their care in accordance with their individual needs. Although they do not abandon samsara, they are not defiled by faults. As it is said: "Whoever is stable in meditation, but is frightened by the suffering of others, abandons the bliss of meditation, and even enters the Avici hell. This is wonderful, this is worthy of praise. This is the supreme conduct of the holy ones. Their nature and the giving of wealth are not wonderful. Knowing that all phenomena are empty, whoever teaches karma and its results, that is more wonderful than wonderful, more amazing than amazing. Those who have the intention to protect sentient beings, although they are born in the mud of existence, they
