Therefore, there is no Dharma that is not dependently originated. Therefore, there is no Dharma that is not emptiness. Thus it is said. Therefore, dependent origination does not exist apart from emptiness, and emptiness does not exist apart from dependent origination, so it is reasonable in union. Thus, having become the Dharmata of all Dharmas, it is said that Suchness is the term for the basis of all, so may you understand all its flaws, that is, all the key points. Therefore, what is called the basis of all here is the purity of the nature of mind itself. In the Ornament of Dense Array, it says: The good nature of the basis of all is seen and heard by the princes. And: The stainless merit of the basis of all will become the Thus-Gone One. As it is said, do not confuse the cause of samsara with the consciousness of the basis of all. Fourth, in this way, it is advised that by examining with the wisdom of individual discrimination, it is necessary to cut off the superimpositions on the ground: Appearance is also mind, emptiness is also mind, realization is also mind, delusion is also one's own mind, arising is also mind, ceasing is also mind, so may all superimpositions be cut off in the mind. That is to say, Appearance and emptiness, realization and delusion, arising and ceasing, all, by ascertaining those reasons mentioned earlier, establish non-self-nature, so it is necessary to cut off all superimpositions of reality, which is an advice in the manner of aspiration. If, as the Mind-Only proponents say, all Dharmas are realized as mind, is it said to be like realizing the ultimate meaning? In this case, as mentioned above, it is said to be mind in the sense of the ground of reality, so it is not contradictory. Second, there are two ways to establish the meaning of cutting off superimpositions through meditation: brief explanation and detailed explanation. First: Without being defiled by contrived and effortful meditation, without being moved by the wind of ordinary busyness, may you know how to rest in the uncorrected, natural, and natural state, and become skilled in practicing and cultivating the meaning of mind. That is to say, here, if the second verse is done first, it is easy to explain, so according to that power. First, the way to enter meditation; in the middle, the way to rest in equanimity; and finally, the way to cultivate it. First, may the supreme lama bless you, may the profound Dharma be contained in your mind, and may you possess the four: faith, diligence, wisdom, and tolerance.

For fortunate ones practicing Mahamudra yoga, it is crucial to first have body, speech, and mind secluded from mundane busyness. Busyness refers to using the three doors of body, speech, and mind for worldly aims such as gain, respect, and the eight worldly concerns, thus running outwards in samsara. Without abandoning these, liberation is out of the question, and even attaining higher realms becomes impossible. As stated in the Bodhicharyavatara: 'In the forest, beasts and birds, and trees, do not utter unpleasant words. When will I dwell together with those who bring happiness? Settling in caves or empty temples, or at the foot of trees, when will I dwell without looking back, free from attachment? In vast natural places not possessed by me, when will I live freely, without attachment?' As stated in the Bodhicharyavatara, one should, as described in the Lamrim, dwell in a secluded place, well-training the mind through the common preliminary practices. By relying on external seclusion and training the mind on the common path, the gathering of busyness will naturally cease. Furthermore, the venerable Avadhutipa said: 'An old prostitute, a water bird, and a snake, a hunter seeking beasts in the forest, an archer, and a young woman, these six are my teachers. Abandoning hope, abandoning chaotic affairs, leaving home, becoming accustomed to secluded forests, firm focus, and solitude, these I obtained from the guru.' This should be understood accordingly. The meaning is that Avadhutipa himself, once, a woman named an old prostitute made an appointment to meet with her lover, and in the morning she suffered, hoping for her lover's arrival, and in the afternoon she was certain that her lover would not come, and she slept peacefully. Seeing this, the venerable one understood that hope should be abandoned. Also, once, a water bird caught a large fish and flew away, and other water birds chased it, and that water bird dropped the fish, and another water bird picked it up, and so on repeatedly. Seeing this, the venerable one understood that no matter who has it, it becomes a source of conflict, and chaotic affairs should be abandoned. Similarly, a snake was sleeping in a nest, and was disturbed by its many young snakes, so it crawled to another hole and slept peacefully. Seeing this, the venerable one understood that one should leave home.
