In short, one should refer to works such as the Ornament of the Sutras and the Self-Commentary on the Inner Meaning by the Lord himself, but here I will not elaborate further due to the fear of excessive words. Next is the second part, the aspiration prayer for putting the meaning of practice into action. It is divided into two parts: a summary and a detailed explanation. The first is: May I have the confidence of view that cuts through the imputations on the ground, the key to meditation that maintains it without distraction, and the supreme conduct that trains in all the meanings of meditation. May I be endowed with the confidence of view, meditation, and conduct. This means that when meditating on the path of Mahamudra as it is, first, by cutting through the imputations on the ground, the reality of Mahamudra, the view becomes upright. Maintaining and abiding in that view without distraction is the true key to meditation. Because training in these meanings of meditation quickly brings about realization, this is the most supreme of conduct. Therefore, if one possesses the three keys of view, meditation, and conduct, one will achieve accomplishment with little effort, and therefore one aspires to attain that state. Next is the second part, which elaborates on this and makes aspirations, divided into four parts: the way to cut through the imputations on the ground with view, the way to establish it with meditation, the way to ultimately realize it with conduct, and the aspiration for the ultimate result of the path. First, there are also two parts, a summary and a detailed explanation. The first is: All phenomena are the magical display of the mind, the mind is without mind, empty of its own nature, emptiness is unceasing, appearing as anything, may I thoroughly investigate and cut through the root. This means that the first line determines that all appearances are the magical display of the mind; the second line establishes that the mind has no inherent nature; the third line shows that the union of emptiness and dependent arising is not contradictory; the fourth line teaches that one should investigate with discriminating wisdom and thereby aspire to cut through the imputations on the meaning of the ground. Next is the second part, which explains this in detail, with each of the four lines explained separately. First, determining appearance as mind: One's own appearance, which has never existed, is mistaken for an object, due to ignorance, self-awareness is mistaken for a self, due to dualistic grasping, one wanders in the ocean of existence, may the root of the confusion of ignorance be cut. This shows that here, the gross phenomena of samsara, namely mind and appear-

I am convinced of this. In order to powerfully understand the power of the subtle and pure Dharma mind, from the two meanings of direct and indirect, the first is the direct teaching: the way in which both the object and the subject are mistaken, the way in which they revolve in samsara, and the way in which they wish to recognize the faults of this illusion are taught. The first part is: From the profound inner meaning of the Lord Himself (Tsongkhapa): "The cause is the beginningless mind, although there is no limit or partiality, but from that uninterrupted manifestation, the essence is emptiness, the nature is luminosity, the appearance is unobstructed, and anything appears. But it does not know itself, and the movement of the fabricating mind, like a wave of water, manifests the object and the clinging, and grasps itself. The mind is scattered outward, and from the manifested part, the object is clung to, and consciousness arises. The actions and feelings of acceptance and rejection arise, and from this, the clinging to names and concepts arises, and the conditioned object is regarded as something else, and the skandha of form is formed by attachment." As it is said, and as it is explained in detail in his own commentary, the original state of the ground, the diamond mind of the self-purifying light, does not know its own essence by its own power. Moreover, its state also appears like cause and condition from the movement of the fabricating mind, and relying on it becomes affliction, and therefore becomes ignorance. There are also two forms of mind, that is, after it, when the mind produces and destroys the six consciousnesses, it puts those abilities on the Alaya consciousness, and the afflicted mind clings to the Alaya consciousness as me. The former produces consciousness, and the latter makes it affliction. The Alaya consciousness is the basis of those two minds, because it holds all the afflictive habits, so it is called all seeds. The mind and the Alaya consciousness appear as cause and condition to each other, like water and waves, so it is the root of all the illusions of samsara. Just as the master Vasubandhu said: "In that Alaya consciousness, there are all the seeds of different ripening, always with touch and attention, feeling, thought and thought are also complete, in that feeling is equanimity, it is unobscured and unindicated, it turns like a waterfall, and it is cut off in the state of Arhat." And "Abiding in it arises, and"
