Aspire and pray that all sentient beings have happiness and well-being. In short, whatever you do, do not involve selfish thoughts, and let all the Dharma practices you do become an antidote to self-grasping. As you inhale, visualize all the suffering and defilements of all sentient beings turning into black smoke, entering through your nostrils, and dissolving into your heart. All the merits and happiness you have accumulated since beginningless time turn into white light and go out through your nostrils. Think that you are giving each share to each sentient being, so that they all attain Buddhahood, and cultivate joy. In your speech, always say: When happy, dedicate the merit to the assembly, may benefit and happiness fill the sky; when suffering, may the suffering of all ripen, may the ocean of suffering dry up. Even at the time of death, if you cannot manage other practices, try to combine the practice of giving and taking with your breath. When the body has illness, the mind has suffering, there are lawsuits, losses, or undesirable things, do not hold grudges against others, but think that this is all caused by self-cherishing, and blame yourself. Consider all enemies, friends, and neutrals as supports for training the mind, as companions for purifying defilements, and think that they are all very kind. If you have no self-cherishing, do not say words or act in ways that hope others will understand you. All behavior should be in accordance with the Dharma Vinaya, and kept pure. Do not speak of the faults of others, and know that seeing the faults of others is because your own perception is impure. Also abandon revealing the privacy of others, speaking harsh words, reciting evil mantras to non-humans, and other such actions. Do not transfer difficult tasks that you should be doing to others, and do not put your own faults on others. Do not be happy when those who disagree with you fail, do not think it is good when enemies die, do not think that if others get sick you will get fame and gain, do not even think about it. Whether your body is good or bad, whether you are good at speaking or not, do not care about anything, but cultivate the mind of enlightenment, and especially cultivate it persistently towards enemies and obstacles, who are difficult to generate compassion for. Abandon the behavior of sometimes practicing and sometimes not practicing because you do not have certainty in the Dharma. Practicing the Dharma is for your own benefit, so no matter how much effort you put in, do not complain to others. When faced with exposure of shortcomings, insults, beatings, anger, and other such actions, do not retaliate, but cultivate pure compassion. Do not easily show expressions of happiness or unhappiness.

It does not demonstrate. If one cannot tolerate even the slightest harm to oneself, and cannot facilitate even the slightest benefit to others, then the meaning of Bodhicitta is lost. Therefore, the exchange of self and others is a supreme characteristic of skillful means, so one should practice it like stone and bone. Merely generating Bodhicitta can purify immeasurable accumulations of sins, and virtues increase inexhaustibly. Filling all Buddha-fields with jewels as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, and then offering them individually to all Buddhas, is not as great as the merit of a moment of Bodhicitta, etc. Immeasurable benefits need not be mentioned, because it is the essence of all Dharmas. Therefore, all the actions of Bodhisattvas, such as the six perfections, arise solely from compassion. So, do not say to meditate for so many months or days, or merely say "how pitiful" to a suffering being, but constantly pervade all impartial beings with great compassion and train in this. Furthermore, in order to ripen one's own continuum, training oneself in all aspects of virtue is the discipline of accumulating virtuous Dharmas; in order to ripen sentient beings, guiding others to practice the virtues that are appropriate for them is the discipline of benefiting sentient beings. All the vows of Bodhisattvas are included in these two. If one does not do what one can do to accomplish these two, it is said to be a fault of a Bodhisattva. Therefore, one should cultivate the roots of virtue that are appropriate for the present situation, and also encourage others. Holding on to just one thing and clinging to vague experiences that cannot withstand adverse conditions is merely a fault of not having heard the words of the Buddha and the biographies of the saints. ༈. Secondly, regarding the instructions on the hundred-syllable mantra for purifying sins and obscurations, generally speaking, there are two types of hundred-syllable mantras: the Tathagata hundred-syllable mantra mentioned in the Tantra of the Three Samayas, and the Vajrasattva hundred-syllable mantra mentioned in many Tantras. There are also two types of Vajrasattva mantras: the peaceful category of the hundred-syllable mantra, which is a collection of limitless peaceful deities' names and mantras that transcend the world and can be freely increased or decreased, and the wrathful Heruka hundred-syllable mantra mentioned in the Tantra of Manifestation of the Guru, etc. The number of syllables in these mantras does not necessarily have to be one hundred, but because the type of mantra is the same, they are called hundred-syllable mantras. Among them, what will be explained now is the visualization of the peaceful Vajrasattva hundred-syllable mantra.
