I prostrate to you! You have abandoned beginning and end, and are supremely peaceful. From the very beginning, you are unchanging and utterly pure. For the sake of sentient beings, you generate the mind of enlightenment. I prostrate to you, who constantly and repeatedly manifests everywhere! In the past, for those beings tamed by the Buddhas, You displayed various forms of altruism, such as the Incense Light Lion. Your form's reflection in the minds of those to be tamed is like an ocean, Appearing to all who are pure, I prostrate to you! In the time of the Great Sage, as the great ruler of the earth, And through the emanations of the Buddha's sons like Avalokiteśvara, In a single instant, in realms as numerous as dust particles, You accomplish the benefit of beings, I prostrate to you! In India, in accordance with the perceptions of those to be tamed by mantra practice, You emanated as Saraha, Nagarjuna, And the Blazing Banner, among other forms, Constantly manifesting everywhere, I prostrate to you! In this land of snow mountains, you emanated as Gyalwa Chöyang (Tibetan place name, presumably referring to the name of a lama) and Rinchen Sal (Tibetan place name, presumably referring to the name of a lama), with limitless emanations, Especially as the sole refuge of beings, Karmapa, You take birth according to your wish, I prostrate to you! You, without moving from the Dharmakaya, When holding the form of the Sambhogakaya in the bardo, Hevajra (Tibetan: འཁོར་ལོ་སྡོམ་པ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: चक्रसंवर, Sanskrit Romanization: cakrasamvara, Chinese literal meaning: Hevajra) explicitly bestows empowerment, And the dakinis offer auspicious wishes, I prostrate to you! Thereafter, having traveled the path of five lights, In the crystal palace with jeweled staircases, Where mindfulness and awareness do not diminish, You manifest as the Nirmanakaya, I prostrate to you! In the Monkey year, on the eighth day of the first month, When you were born, you clearly declared, "Born in the eighth month." Immediately upon birth, You were in accordance with the conduct of the Great Sage, I prostrate to you! Until the age of five, you acted as a child, Benefiting many beings, learning to write and read, Without studying, you mastered all the vast scriptures, Reaching the other shore of all knowledge, I prostrate to you! Even so, in accordance with the Buddha's teachings, That appeared in this land of snow mountains, You fully heard all the scriptures, treatises, knowledge, And all the instructions, I prostrate to you! Directly seeing the Buddhas of the ten directions, their sons, disciples, And the chief of the accomplished ones and the yidam deities, The assemblies of dakinis and dharma protectors, And receiving their prophecies, I prostrate to you! I bow with my head to you, who are the source of adornment. To the gods, sages, accomplished ones, learned ones, and those who suppress the pride of the arrogant of the world, such as the diligent rulers, I bow to the sacred source of offerings for gods and humans. On the fourteenth day of the sixth month of the Rabbit year, to tame the beings to be tamed, you gathered the appearance of the incarnate body. On the night of the fifteenth, above the lunar disc, you revealed your face manifestly; to that I bow with my head. No one can fully recount the liberation story of you, Protector. By the virtue of a brief praise, may all beings become like you. A Praise to Rolpai Dorje by the Eighth Gyalwa Rinpoche: By the power of the play of supreme, unsurpassed wisdom, possessing the supreme body, speech, and mind like a vajra, treasure of compassion who liberates from samsara and nirvana, I respectfully prostrate to you, the incomparable one. Pure discipline is majestic like a golden Mount Meru, immeasurable samadhi is exceedingly radiant like a multitude of stars, the sunlight of wisdom that sees reality as it is shines brightly, completely dispelling the darkness of wrong views.
