The compassionate and powerful Gyalwa Karmapa, With the empowerment of the Dharma seal, Spreads throughout the endless ocean, I pray to the feet of the guide on the path of goodness. The incomparable teacher, Jetsun Karmapa, When opening the hundred doors of limitless activities, The supreme and holy master who transforms into whatever is desired, I pray to the feet of the one who holds the burden of the teachings. Eliminating all suffering, becoming the supreme of monks, With the thoughts and actions of the vast Bodhicitta, Spreading the teachings of Karmapa, I pray to the feet of the source of benefit and happiness. O Treasure of Loving Kindness, revered one, May the supreme Gyalwang, source of Dharma, hold us in his care in all our lives! Thus it is prayed. Again, supplicating at the feet of that very Jamyang (འཇམ་མགོན།): Supreme, unacquainted friend of beings pervading the sky, The embodiment of the three secrets of all Victorious Ones, To the Vajra Master, source of Dharma, I supplicate with unwavering faith in every way. The Sixth, Lion-like, Glorious Karmapa, Upon spreading the extraordinary view as it is, Possessing the wisdom that sees whatever and however it is, I supplicate to the supreme sun of the teachings. The supreme, unsurpassed actor of upholding and maintaining the practice lineage teachings, Renowned as Tai Situ, the summer thunder, I supplicate from the heart to the one who pervades everywhere. May the blessings of his body, which is appearance-emptiness, sound-emptiness, bliss-emptiness, Perfectly ripen my own being with nectar, And by being free from all deluded appearances of ignorance, May I hold the royal seat of the unsurpassable four bodies! By the merit of making such supplications, May the Victorious Ones' teachings flourish and increase in all directions and times, May all beings live long in happiness and glory, And may we be endowed with the auspicious glory of virtue! Thus, at the urging of Karma Damcho Lhundrup, the great attendant of that very lord and the supreme incarnate, it was composed by the Thirteenth Karmapa. May it be virtuous! Like the sun rising from a lotus garden, Visibly adorned at the crown of all great ones, Therefore, as the lotus garden's sun, I supplicate at the feet of the incomparable Lama. The incarnate body holding the treasury of the three secrets of all Victorious Ones, The glory and protector of the Dagpo lineage teachings, The very root of the teachings from the beginning, I supplicate to the Dharma King of the three realms. The embodiment of the vast assembly of noble beings, master of signs and examples, Skillful in showing the excellent path of maturation and liberation to the fortunate, Through hundreds of thousands of Dharma doors of true essence, I supplicate to the Lama who is the lord pervading all lineages. All beings, superior, inferior, and intermediate, Through seeing, hearing, remembering, and touching, through higher realms and definite goodness, The jewel of the wish-fulfilling gem who leads to the path, May we and others always enjoy the bindu in the center of our hearts. Through the power of the virtue of supplicating the glorious Lama, May the name of suffering not be heard in the realms of the world, And may the youth of the perfect age bloom anew.
