Of. Having dispelled all the stains of ignorance and delusion, The sound of gentle speech is accomplished on the tongue. May it be the one who puts an end to the delusion of existence. This was composed by the Sixth Zhwa-dmar-pa in the presence of Stag-lung Ma-thang Chos-kyi-rje Rinpoche, praising his own name. The prayer of the Seventh Zhwa-dmar-pa: Victorious One, Light of Wisdom, In all the boundless realms of the Victorious Ones, Illuminating the path of liberation, I pray to the Supreme Victorious One. If I pray, may I be granted two accomplishments, The one who constantly bestows, All the Victorious Ones appear as your emanations, I pray to the Supreme Victorious One. You are the sole essence of all the Victorious Ones, To sentient beings with many devotions, Whoever sees the Vajra Body is liberated, I pray to the Supreme Victorious One. Whoever hears it, Will surely be liberated from all the obscurations of samsara, All speech reveals the ultimate and supreme Dharma, I pray to the Supreme Victorious One. To the disciples with many devotions, Displaying various plays of compassion, The one who shows is my refuge, I pray to the Supreme Victorious One. With devotion and faith, I take refuge in you, If I offer this prayer many times, May my mind and heart become one with you, And only accomplish what pleases you, May you hold me dear. This was composed by Jetsun Chos-dbyings Rdo-rje. The prayer of the Eighth Gar-dbang: The treasure of all the perfections of wealth, power, and peace, The vast expanse of the incomparable Great Compassionate Eye, The teacher who pours down the great rain of Dharma, I pray to you who accomplish the benefit of self and others. In the boundless and vast ocean of mandalas of countless tantras, You dance as the chief, Exalted by the eight powers and virtues, I pray to the all-pervading Vajradhara. The refuge and object of veneration for beings of noble lineage, The supreme guide who liberates all beings, Your wisdom of skillful means to tame all is as vast as the sky, I pray to you who teach the selflessness of all phenomena. The power and strength of wondrous courage are like the sun, Whose wisdom is without obscuration, the precious one itself, With the feast of victory over all directions, You cause the lotus garden of the four assemblies to flourish, I prostrate to you. The incomparable guide, with the sound of the great drum of Dharma, Completely dispels the suffering of beings including gods, For as long as hundreds of thousands of aeons.

May your teachings illuminate all directions! This is a long-life prayer bestowed by Je Yeshe Dorje, modified into a supplication by the Karma Kagyu Situ. Next is the supplication to the Ten Lords of Kadampa: From countless eons ago, you have been the embodiment of the Three Jewels, Although you have long since attained perfect and complete enlightenment as a Buddha, You play the game of emanation in the cycle of existence, I supplicate you who tame the untamable. Especially in the lands of India and Tibet, Sometimes appearing as a Shravaka, sometimes as a Yogi, Sometimes as a King, sometimes as an ordinary person, I supplicate you who hold various manifestations. Especially in this snowy land, for the sake of the Karma Kagyu teachings To shine like the sun, You possess the activity of being inseparable from the Teacher and retinue, I supplicate you, the one with the Red Hat crest. Having the intention of the Buddhas of the three times as one taste, The supreme master of limitless knowledge, Manifesting as the body of the great Vajra Master, I supplicate at the feet of Chödrub Gyamtso. May I and others, in this life and all lifetimes, Be constantly cared for by you, protector, And diligently practice the path of enlightenment, May we perfect the intention of the Buddhas through learning. In the Sambhogakaya realm, great Bodhisattva, You are the glory of playing in the form of Samantabhadra, In the retinue of Shakyamuni Buddha, you are the venerable Ananda, I prostrate to you who pervade all realms with emanations. Especially in this land of Lhasa, you are a god among men, During the time of Songtsen Gampo, you were the great minister Gar Tongtsen, In the presence of the Vidyadhara Padmasambhava, you were the great mantra holder, I prostrate to you, Kharchen Palgyi Wangchuk. The beloved son of the great accomplished Milarepa, Shiwa Ö, You have become a rainbow body of Vajra, and again, As the wish-fulfilling sixth Karmapa, Tongwa Dönden, To the successive Gyaltsab Rinpoches, I prostrate with reverence.
