The lotus master with flower-like beauty, in front of the Thubpa (Shakyamuni Buddha) transformed into the Moonlight Youth. In the midst of the snowy mountains, you were prophesied by the Victorious One to be a monk who sustains life, I prostrate to you. Connected by aspiration, you were born in the direction of the snowy land, married a virtuous woman who conformed to worldly customs, and perfected medicine for the benefit of others, I prostrate to you, Bodhisattva. Seeing that the activities of samsara are meaningless, you left home and became a monk, diligently practicing the teachings, guarding the pure three trainings like your eyes, I prostrate to you, monk who sustains life. Taking the dust of the feet of the holy guru on your head, you extensively listened to the Vinaya, mantras, and other teachings, and increased dreams, earth attainments, and various samadhis, I prostrate to you, treasure of merit. Hearing the name of the guru with aspiration, compassion, and faith, your hairs stood on end, and great joy arose, dreams, omens, and signs became auspicious, I prostrate to you, fortunate one. When you went to the presence of Jetsun Milarepa, he said, "You are the jewel of all sentient beings," and considered you to be the heir of the heart-son lineage, I prostrate to you, the teacher of Ü. He bestowed upon you the most profound expedient path instructions, you diligently practiced without distraction, and through the kindness of the guru, realization arose in your heart, I prostrate to you, diligent one. All phenomena are like dreams. Having realized the absence of reality, the freedom from elaboration is manifested. You said, "This is my last birth." Lord of the ten bhumis, you! When you went to the place of Daklha Gampo, you thought in your heart to practice as the lama said. The dakini prophesied, "Benefit others!" Dharma Lord Gampopa, you! Many worthy and fortunate ones gathered. You taught the profound instructions and advice of the lama. Countless beings matured and were liberated. Unparalleled lama, you! For a while, you displayed four kinds of emanations. Abiding in consecration, teaching the Dharma to others, flying in the sky, and one abiding in retreat. Subduer of appearances, you! When meditating on the samadhi of profound mind practice, exhausting and subduing, transforming and changing, your body without a shadow, transforming into the Lord of the World. Supreme among emanations, you! When abiding among many wise and accomplished ones, you subdued the appearances of others with the confidence of the Dharma. You said, "I am the master of the teachings." Lion among men, you! When meditating on the illusion-like samadhi, you emanated as the Great Bodhi filling the sky. You displayed the miraculous powers of your body beyond comprehension. Inseparable from appearance and emptiness, you! The faithful saw you as Chakrasamvara. At the time of consecration, you transformed into the Great Bodhi. The wisdom being was actually absorbed into the support. Supreme among the accomplished ones, you! Any faithful person, merely by seeing, hearing, or remembering you, can abandon suffering and grasp the path of liberation. King of medicine, you! When performing the mudra of nectar ash union, as a symbol of the union of body, appearance, and mind, you emanated countless emanations of your body in an instant. Supreme king of remembrance, you! When the thought of benefiting others arose in your mind, on the fifteenth day of the sixth month of the Water Female Bird year, the great master passed into the realm of Dharma. Showing the desire to pass into nirvana, you! Various rainbows, parasols, victory banners, and so on appeared, flowers rained down, and sounds of music arose. The earth shook, and the birds made loud noises. Wonderful and amazing one, you! Countless faithful people gathered, offering supreme and excellent offerings. The relics of your heart and tongue were placed as supports for the faithful.
