Having practiced extraordinary austerities for six years, I prostrate with reverence to you who engaged in all-encompassing samadhi. Seeing that physical and verbal austerities have no essence, you arose and partook of milk porridge like nectar. Holding a peacock feather duster, wearing coarse cloth, and carrying a grass mat, I bow to you who sat under the Bodhi tree. By emitting rays of light, you subdued the lord of demons, and pacified the demon armies with love without a battle. The earth goddess entreated you to be the witness for all beings. I prostrate with reverence to you who defeated the wicked. With clairvoyance and extrasensory perception as guides, knowing the Four Noble Truths and dependent origination, you instantly realized unsurpassed perfect enlightenment with wisdom. I prostrate with reverence to you who attained incomparable enlightenment. Entreated by Brahma, the Hearers, the Great Vehicle, and the great Bodhisattvas who entered all vehicles, contemplating the three types of beings, you turned the wheel of Dharma three times in a way never done before. I prostrate with reverence. After the Victorious One completed all the deeds of taming, in the grove of Sala trees, on the final resting bed, to reverse the clinging to permanence, you demonstrated passing into nirvana. When gazing, when relying on the shade of Jambudvipa, from your body, the shade of Jambudvipa appears without obstruction, at that time the gods prostrated, I prostrate to you who are worthy of prostration! Possessing the arrogance of lineage and power, the Shakya who is given joy by the gods, the Muni who overwhelms all other arts, I prostrate to you! Clearly knowing the nature of samsara, in order to fulfill the expectations of the father, with the sound of song, dance, lute, and music, receiving offerings from the retinue of consorts, the skillful means, I prostrate to you! In order to see the beautiful city, going according to the father's command, seeing the suffering of old age and death, hearing from contemplation and then returning, convinced of the suffering of samsara, determined to be liberated from it, the one who is determined to renounce, I prostrate to you! From the sky, going to the forest of asceticism, abandoning close relatives, in the midst of the forest animal herds, unable to bear the afflictions, you return again, whatever efforts made in countless eons, if this body does not obtain the essence, I will not return to the city, the one who is determined, I prostrate to you! Knowing that this determination will not be violated, the attendant returned to the city, the prince like a rhinoceros, himself cut off his hair knot, in order to make people believe in karma, on the banks of the Nairanjana River, completing six years of asceticism, the one who has completed asceticism, I prostrate to you! Weakened in body by the torment of asceticism, the Bodhisattva in the river, seeing the one who wants to be clean, the goddess bent the branch of the tree, the one who bathed, I prostrate to you! Consuming the essence of cow's milk, the body is like the color of gold, the light illuminates everything, illuminating all the places of the gods, the lamp of beings, I prostrate to you! That wise Bodhisattva, when walking like a swan, the earth is like a container for a staff, hearing that there is a sound, the black dragon blind, who obtained eyes when the Buddha appeared, I prostrate to that Bodhisattva!
