Regarding the two graspings (Dzin-rtogs gnyis-pa), there are two aspects: teaching and explanation. The first is: what is imputed as sentient beings, and the cause of that imputation—the continuous appearance of the aggregates, merely that object, different from the previous one, the nine aspects of the two graspings, the nature of phenomena, is the non-concordant aspect of what is to be abandoned in relation to the antidote path of meditation, because the path of meditation can completely destroy it. The second is the explanation, concerning the nature of the object. First, there are three obstacles of the path, one nature of the path, three knowable things, one thing to be abandoned, and one from the perspective of aspects. The first is: ordinary common people, the nature of phenomena, are ignorant of everything, possessing the three obstacles of the three omniscient ones, because they do not understand the nature of the objects of the three, the essence of cause and effect, the path of the three vehicles, and the reality of the basis aggregates, etc., as they are. The second is: they are completely ignorant of the path of pacifying all that is to be abandoned, because they have not fully understood the antidote Prajnaparamita. The third is: form, etc., are the same as the Tathagatagarbha and Dharmadhatu, etc., possessing non-duality and not possessing non-duality, not being non-duality, etc., because they have not fully understood the non-duality of phenomena and the nature of phenomena. The great and small vehicle paths are not the same, etc., because they have not fully understood the nature of demons, etc. The Four Noble Truths, such as suffering (Duhkha, Devanagari: दुःख, Romanized Sanskrit: duhkha, meaning: suffering), etc., because they cling to the literal meaning of impermanence, etc. The fourth is: the nature of the afflictions, from desire to exhaustion and non-arising, etc., because they do not understand that desire, etc., are temporary. The fifth is: they are ignorant of the non-duality of the grasper and the grasped, because they do not understand that the characteristic of the grasper and the grasped is emptiness. The second is: like that, focusing on the nine objects, clinging to the mere imputation of the grasper, is considered the last of the two and four aspects of grasping consciousness. The third, relying on qualities, is: previously in the fourth chapter, the Bodhisattvas abiding in the three paths are irreversible, in order to dispel the doubt that those would change without relying on the order of practice, just as the three applications are applied to the practice of the pure land. Previously, it was explained in the reversal of the effort of the peak application antidote, in order to dispel the doubt that those do not have qualities that do not rely on effort, starting from the reversal of the qualities of the pure land practice that do not rely on effort.

To the teacher. The basis of the individual who does not depend on effort, the cause that does not depend on it, the merit that does not depend on it, the manner that does not depend on it. The first is called the basis. To whom? To the great bodhisattva of the pure land, who is adorned with the leaves that protect from the suffering of the lower realms, the flowers that bring forth the joy of the higher realms, and the supreme fruit of eliminating the decline of samsara and nirvana. The second is, from what cause? It comes from the exhaustion of the four kinds of conceptualization, which are like a plague, through long practice of the meditation path. The four kinds of realization are like diseases, because they are harmful. For example, when a disease is exhausted and a long time has passed, the patient finds the happiness of breathing easily. The third is, in what? In all the perfect qualities that are skilled in accomplishing happiness in all realms, which are all included in the three vehicles. The fourth is, how? Just as four rivers flow continuously into the great ocean, the kinds of qualities of the three vehicles flow continuously in all realms. Fourth, in the uninterrupted yoga, the antidote to the uninterrupted yoga is explained, and the wrong conceptions of the opposing side are eliminated. The first is to explain the nature, object, aspect, etc. The first is, that the samadhi of the constant edge, that dharma, is the uninterrupted samadhi, because it is the culmination of the uninterrupted attainment of the fruit of Buddhahood by other dharmas. How is Buddhahood attained without interruption? Because the wisdom of the actual fruit, the omniscient, is Buddhahood itself. Also, what is the fruit of Buddhahood? Buddhahood is omniscience itself. This uninterrupted peak is also taught from the opposite of many merits, so it is called many. In what? The cause of this is the merit of generating the first mind, and the merit of this uninterrupted peak itself. From what? Gradually, with the individual beings of the three thousand worlds, from the stream-enterer of the hearers to the arhat, and the virtue established in the perfect realization of the solitary realizer like a rhinoceros horn, and the virtue established in the first ground and above, with the bodhisattva without fault as an example. How gradually
