The characteristic of the aspect is that it surpasses the Hinayana path, and it is the sixteen moments of the path of seeing that have the object of the four truths. Secondly, there are four of them. The four moments of the object of suffering are superior because of the two, the fruit and the object. The first is: "Subhuti, this mother is an inconceivable perfection." And: "Subhuti, the Tathagata himself, the Buddha himself, the self-born himself, the all-knowing himself is inconceivable." As these four sentences are combined with the four wisdoms, these four are inconceivable to the wisdom of the learner, and the Dharma-kshanti of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers cannot arise, but this can arise, so it is superior. Because it also enters others, it is translated as unequal, etc. Similarly, because there is no Dharma equal to the four wisdoms, it is unequal, and it transcends measurement by measure, and it generates wisdom that truly transcends calculation by numbers, so it is superior. The second is: "Form is also inconceivable, immeasurable, countless, unequal, and equal." It is said up to the all-knowing, so realizing such a nature of the truth of suffering surpasses the Hinayana. The four of the origin are that it surpasses with Dharma-kshanti, and it gathers all the qualities of abandonment and realization to increase upwards, and the wise one has two lineages, and the cause of increasing the two, and has three things to do for the Tathagata, or understands the profound that should be known by being proficient in suchness and all suchness, and because the origin of the Mahayana is superior to the wisdom and abandonment of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, it is the knowledge of the self-nature that is not common to the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, and the manifestation is quick because the Buddha is quickly attained. If even after attaining that, it takes a long time to attain Buddhahood, then it is quick in relation to the Hearers and Solitary Realizers. As the Commentary on Valid Cognition says: "Going to hell is not an eternal obstacle to enlightenment, but the position of the Hearers and the position of the Solitary Realizers are obstacles." So it is. The four of cessation are that they realize that the nature of Dharma does not diminish qualities and does not increase faults, and like a cow that does not abandon its calf, in order to accomplish the practice of the mother, they practice without abandoning the Dharma speaker, and because they practiced in this way in the previous life, now also the two accumulations are complete.

Just as sailing smoothly, or grasping or not grasping wood etc. when a ship is wrecked in the sea, writing the Prajnaparamita etc. will not cause one to fall into the Hearer-solitary realizer path. The four aspects of the path are: just as drawing water with a bucket that has or does not have cracks, if one grasps with skillful means and wisdom, one will not fall into the Hearer-solitary realizer path, and one will have a basis; just as a ship is repaired well or not, if one is grasped by skillful means and wisdom, one will have all the factors of omniscience complete, and one will not fall into the Hearer-solitary realizer path; just as a one hundred and twenty-year-old person afflicted by illness needs the support of others to not fall, if one is completely grasped by skillful means and wisdom, and one possesses (skillful means and wisdom), one will not fall into the Hearer-solitary realizer path; and one will not have the experience of clinging to things as real, nor will one have tasted the flavor of attachment to other Bodhisattvas. The third is: one should know that these distinctions are the nature of sixteen moments. Among the sixteen distinctions, by what distinction does the path become superior? Because this path is more superior than the other Hearer-solitary realizer paths, it is called the Superior Path. Why are the distinctions of application and meditation not explained? Because this can be understood by implication, because the distinction of the cause produces the distinction of the result, and the distinction of the result depends on the distinction of the cause. Or it can be explained according to the Difficult Explanation. Third, regarding the name of the function, there are two parts: explanation and summary. The first part is: liberating beings such as humans and animals from the five bonds and placing them in liberation, which is the benefit of the future; liberating them from suffering (Sanskrit: duḥkha, Devanagari: दुःख, Romanization: duhkha, literal meaning: suffering), unpleasantness, and afflictions, and placing them in happiness, and also preventing the maturation of karma and afflictions from arising, these three are the actions of saving, which is the application of the basis wisdom. The seven applications of the wisdom of the path are: they are the protectors of people, placing them in the ultimate benefit of the Buddha's state. As it says in the Uttaratantra: Because it is appropriate to be the protector etc. of those who are always without protection. And so on. By reversing the cause of suffering (Sanskrit: duḥkha, Devanagari: दुःख, Romanization: duhkha, literal meaning: suffering), it is the action of abiding; by realizing the equality of samsara and nirvana, it is placing them in the protection without the fear of samsara; even if one abides in samsara for the benefit of others, one will not be defiled by the faults of samsara, this is the action of the island, just as one can abide on dry land even when surrounded by water. Or, by dispelling the darkness of ignorance with wisdom, it is the action of the lamp, the Sanskrit word for island is dvīpa, if you remove the letter va, dīpa is the lamp. Placing them in accomplishing the benefit of others.
