The so-called 'taking words to heart, etc., are four' refers to the Buddhas, etc. If a person who has thoroughly studied and contemplated in this way needs to meditate on the condensed aspect, then with what object does he meditate? He meditates with the twenty applications of the object. The so-called 'on form,' etc. Such an application also needs to know the merits, faults, and characteristics, so the three are shown in order below. When that person knows these three, he will give rise to the Mahayana liberation concordant with being skilled in the five objects of the Buddhas, etc., the so-called 'without characteristics,' etc. Of these five, the first is: So, if the meaning of the three wisdoms previously established by hearing and thinking is summarized, then what is the nature of the aspect? How many distinctions are there? In this regard, there are two types: teachings and explanations. The first is: On the basis of the four noble truths, the distinctions of wisdom that know the state are here called the characteristics of the directly shown aspect. That is the basis of distinction. It is considered that there are three aspects because omniscience has three aspects. Some say that the Ornament of Manifestation Sutra directly shows both the meaning aspect and the knowledge aspect, that is, 'The distinctions of the basis, etc., are called the characteristics of the aspect. By the distinctions of the four truths, that is considered to be four aspects.' Therefore, it is the meaning aspect. 'The distinctions of wisdom, etc., are called the characteristics of the aspect. Omniscience has three, so it is considered to be three aspects.' Therefore, the knowledge aspect is directly shown. This is a laughing matter because those two sentences are words that you have spoken arbitrarily. Otherwise, why is there no adornment of the words 'generating the mind is for one's own benefit, desiring temporary enlightenment'? If there is, then there is the fault of being too excessive. Second, the detailed explanation is divided into three. The first is the detailed explanation of the aspect of the basis of knowledge, called explanation. Wherein, Subhuti asked, 'World-Honored One, this Prajnaparamita is the other shore of non-existence.' The answer was, 'Because space has no object.' Here it says the aspect of non-existence. From then on, finally asked, 'This Prajnaparamita is the other shore of immovability.' The answer was, 'The nature of the Dharma realm abides from the beginning.'

Therefore. Here, it is summarized between the aspects of immovability. How is it? The first three truths each have four aspects, and the truth of the path is divided into fifteen aspects. That is, it is said by names such as non-existence, and the aspect of suffering is impermanence without permanence, as it is said in the Madhyāntavibhāga: "The meaning of impermanence is the meaning of non-existence." Suffering does not arise in the ultimate sense, so suffering is shown in the conventional sense. The self-meaning of the blessed one, which is separated from others, is emptiness. Not being stained by the fault of having a self is showing no-self. The four of the origin are the place of suffering in the ultimate sense, that is, without cause, it shows the cause in the conventional sense. Just as there is no suffering arising in the sky, there is no origin in the ultimate sense, so it exists in the conventional sense. Without the cause of speech, there is no suffering arising in the ultimate sense, so it is shown in name. There are no four aggregates of name in the ultimate sense, so it shows no cause, so it shows cause in name. Among the four of cessation, cessation is not going elsewhere, that is, it is not something to be obtained after going. Peace is not being taken away. Purity does not end in the ultimate sense, so it is also excellent to end and separate in name. Liberation is without birth, that is, because there is no cause of birth. Among the three aspects of the path truth, in the aspect of the first path, the path is the antidote to grasping the agent, so it is said that there is no agent. Reason is the selflessness of the knower. Accomplishment is realizing that the nature of the Dharmadhatu does not change. Definite emergence is that there is no subduing of afflictions in the ultimate sense, so in name, Nirvana is constantly and definitely produced. The wisdom that understands those sixteen differences by the base wisdom is the aspect of those four truths, because it is the difference of wisdom that understands the reality of those and those. The aspect of the second path is that the wisdom gained after the self-born meditation path realizes that the object of external grasping is without self-nature from the beginning like a dream, and that it does not arise like a sound, and that it does not cease like an eye disease, and that eye disease is an explanation of the shadow. Like the water of a mirage.
