Because it cannot completely block everything. The edge is a part, in the discourse of reason, the edge is exhaustion and what should be done, near and direction, and belittling, etc. And so on. The second is what is to be abandoned, the antidote, the explanation of the profound realm. The first is to show the incompatible aspect, to establish it. The first is, focusing on the characteristics and remembering the Buddhas, etc., and dedicating the roots of virtue to perfect enlightenment, etc., has the nature of being the incompatible aspect of the antidote base wisdom, because it is difficult to realize attachment there, so attachment is subtle. The second is, how is it an incompatible aspect? Because the Tathagata is profound and free from elaboration, but clings to the characteristics. How is the profound realm established? The Dharma path or nature of the Buddha is profound in the ultimate truth, because in the ultimate truth, the nature is tranquil, not suddenly created. The second is the antidote, so how does the antidote eliminate it? The antidote base wisdom has the nature of being able to eliminate the attachment to characteristics on the result, because all the phenomena encompassed by the grasped and the grasper are manifestly known in the emptiness of nature. The third is the explanation of the profound realm, divided into the explanation of being difficult to realize and being inconceivable. The first is, how is the nature of Dharma profound? The nature of Dharma has the nature of being profound, because it is difficult to realize in the ultimate truth, that is, it is said to be impossible, because in the ultimate truth, from what is seen by the eye, etc., to what is known by consciousness is blocked. This and the previous explanations of the ninth ground, etc., are worth studying. The second is, what is so difficult to realize? The nature of Dharma is difficult to realize, because it is considered inconceivable, because in the ultimate truth, the essence from form, etc., to the unmixed Dharma of the Buddha cannot be known. The second is the summary, it should be known as such. Where are all the differences between the incompatible aspect and its antidote? Where is it? In the school of omniscient wisdom, that is, here. How is it? As said before. Or the difference between near and far should also be realized from the perspective of the incompatible aspect and the antidote, the incompatible aspect is the continuum of the Bodhisattva.

In order to show the difference between clinging and the antidote, which is the wisdom of realizing the absence of characteristics in that continuum, there are four: clinging to what is merely imputed as a person and its two antidotes, and clinging to what is merely imputed as a dharma and its two antidotes. The first of these is the notion that "I" am the one who practices emptiness of the aggregates such as form, and up to the notion that "I" am the one who practices the aspects of enlightenment, which is the actual clinging, and therefore it is shown as an opponent of the bodhisattva, i.e., form, etc. The second is that the wisdom that realizes the absence of characteristics, which prevents the clinging to a merely imputed self, can prevent the extreme of attachment in one's own continuum if one cultivates it oneself, and if one teaches it to others, it can prevent it in the continuum of others, so it is an antidote, i.e., giving, etc. The third, the Victorious One is the result, etc., summarizing the basis and the path. The mind that clings to the basis as the object of focus, to the path as what is to be practiced, and to the result as what is to be attained, is a subtle attachment, and therefore it is an opponent, i.e., Victorious One, etc. The proof that it is is, dharma, etc. The fourth is that by knowing the three to be of one nature, one can abandon the mind that clings to this and that in the three, i.e., all dharmas, etc. How is it that they are of one nature? The answer is that it is difficult to realize and inconceivable, i.e., seeing, etc., and form, etc. The meaning of such abandonment and antidote is summarized as, thus, etc. This is what is said in the Difficult Explanation. Second, in entering into union, there are two: the divisions of union and its equality. The first has the object of union and its essence. The first is, adding the word "la" at the end of everything, these are the ten objects of preventing clinging. The second is, preventing the activity of clinging to those objects, i.e., the union without clinging. The essence of the basis, from form, etc., to omniscience, is the yoga of a bodhisattva who, having prevented the activity of clinging, meditates without focusing. The same applies to the lower ones. The difference of the basis is that form, etc., are impermanent, etc., as well as permanent and peaceful, non-peaceful, etc. The difference in the characteristics of form, etc., is that what is incomplete is the completely imputed, and what is endowed with a collection of qualities is the most complete.
